Chapter 759
Uriah stared in disbelief, his face a picture of shock.
Meanwhile, the bunny in his arms was freaking out, pooping like there was no tomorrow.
The receptionist was just as horrified. She blurted out, "Sir, your toy rabbit is, uh... kind of indecent. Does it have
to poop this much?”
Uriah was speechless.
Honestly, bunny poop was the last thing on his mind right now. He was miserable. And pissed off.
Norton gave Mavis a bunny, and she accepted it, no problem. But when Uriah offered her a bunny, she flat-out
refused.
Mavis almost never said no to him. But this time, she totally shut him down, and it stung, big time.
How could she just reject him like that?
Right then, Calliope and Silas walked in and saw Uriah holding two rabbits. The rabbits were going nuts, leaving
a trail of poop on the shiny lobby floor.
"She doesn't want them? Fine! Here, they're yours!" Uriah snapped, stuffing the bunnies at the startled
receptionist.
She nearly dropped them. "Uh, sir, these aren't mine! Thank you, but | can't take care of rabbits. | really, really
don't want them!"

She shoved the bunnies right back at him and scuttled away, putting as much distance between herself and
Uriah as possible.
"Look, if you really have to bring the rabbits inside, fine, but please don't scare the other guests. And you'll need
to keep them in your own room. You also have to clean up after them-no messes on our sheets or anywhere
else!" she said, finally giving in.
She could see Uriah was about to lose it. He looked like he might actually explode. She figured if she said one
more word, he might just do it.
Uriah glared at the rabbits in his arms. Not even as a gift, she wouldn't take them.
"I'll have housekeeping take care
of... the mess this time," the receptionist added, eyeing the- chocolate-colored droppings on the floor, "but you
can't let them do this again!"
Uriah said nothing. He stalked onto the elevator, clutching the two bunnies.
They'd stopped pooping at least, but he was still frowning at them like they'd betrayed him.
Fantastic!
Calliope had a pretty good guess-Uriah had tried to give the bunnies to Mavis, but she'd turned him down.
Mavis would never want real, live rabbits. She hated fussing with animals- feeding them, cleaning up after them.
Anything that made a mess was a big no-no for her.
He'd really miscalculated there.
“He's got a knack, I'll give him that. These rabbits can sure poop. Probably eat a ton, too," Silas remarked as they
stepped into the elevator.
A little while later, Calliope went to find Mavis, while Silas headed to Uriah's room.
"Nice bunnies," Silas said, pushing open the door. The two rabbits immediately hopped over to greet him. He
nudged one gently with his foot, and it veered off toward the other side of the room.
"Keep them. They're yours," Uriah grumbled, glaring at the rabbits. "Useless things."
"Thanks, but I'll pass," Silas said,
flopping onto the couch and
crossing his legs. He eyed Uriah with e sour
amusement. "What's with
face? Did they poop in your mouth
or something?"
Uriah shot him a look. "Maybe they
