Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 123
“It’s a deal!” Rachel Grey smiled while looking at him.
David Jones looked at her smiling face and could not help but bend down gradually.
Rachel leaned back intuitively, her almond–shaped eyes flashing with confusion.
The cool woody fragrance gradually enveloped her.
He stared at the woman in front of him intently. Then their lips locked. His thin lips. parted slightly.
“Yes.”
David’s voice was low and hoarse, making Rachel feel as if she was intoxicated.
Rachel’s heart raced. Her fingertips curled up slightly as she cleared her throat. “Can you stay away
from me?”
At such a close distance, she could not help but feel nervous because she didn’t know when the other
party would kiss her.
“We are in a romantic relationship, and we will get more intimate in the future, so you have to learn to
get used to it in advance.” As David spoke, his fiery gaze

Rachel’s face instantly flushed with embarrassment. “You didn’t ask when you kissed me earlier…”
“So you’re pretending to be gentlemanly now?” Rachel thought.
“So you’re not against me kissing you.”
Rachel did not know how she should reply.
There was no way to continue this conversation.
At this moment, there was a knock on the office door.
-Rachel pushed David away at once and sat up straight. “You may enter.”
Linda entered the room, immediately noticing David.
Linda’s brows furrowed almost imperceptibly.
That was weird.
Linda hadn’t seen this person earlier. How did he get in?
Linda gathered her thoughts and walked up to Rachel. “Ms. Grey, this is the information you
requested.”
Rachel nodded slightly. When Rachel looked up, she realized that Linda was staring at David.
There was no admiration in Linda’s eyes. She only observed David intently as if trying to tell if David
was someone who would hurt Rachel.
David did not care about Linda’s judgemental stare at all. He took a glance at the furnishings of
Rachel’s office.

Then Linda retracted her gaze. She turned to look at Rachel as if wanting to say something but just left
in the end.
David held the apartment key card between his fingers It was the key card that her uncle’s assistant
had sent earlier. “What’s this?”
Rachel looked at the card and reached for it, putting it in her bag casually. “My uncle arranged an
apartment for me.”

Rachel flipped through the documents in her hand and explained patiently, “My maternal grandfather’s
place is too far from the company. It’s quite inconvenient traveling to and fro work.”
David nodded thoughtfully and blurted out, “Why don’t you just stay at my place?”
Rachel looked up at David in disbelief.
“We’re officially a couple. There is nothing wrong about us living under the same roof,” David Jones
said matter–of–factly. “We can go to work together in the future. More importantly, it’s easier for us to
spend time together.”
“I think there is a need for us to maintain some distance at this point of our relationship.” “Are you not
going to take complete responsibility for me?” David looked at her bitterly. Rachel chuckled. “I don’t
think I took advantage of you.”
“You’ve already kissed and hugged me. How else do you want to take advantage of me?” David’s lips
curled into a faint suggestive smile. “You can do whatever you want tonight if you want to.”
As he spoke, he wrapped his palm around Rachel’s soft and small hand, fiddling around with it.
“How about moving out and coming to stay at my place?”
