He reached for his gun and I shook my head in warning. He threw both hands in the air.

I shook my head no.
"You're here for the girl, aren't you, boy?" He talked tolike a fecking dog, and I fought to roll my eyes, knowing the motion would be human enough to potentially frighten them further, so I just shook my head up and down in confirmation.
