Chapter 0699
In the blink of an eye, Suzy had been in custody for three days.
During these three days, her routine consisted of eating and sleeping.
Strangely enough, she'd never felt as relaxed as she did now, so she decided to treat the whole situation as a
vacation.
There was just one inconvenience-no phone. If she had a phone to watch short videos, it would have been
absolutely perfect.
Perhaps she'd grown used to the stillness, but most of her tover the past three days was spent sleeping.
Even after sleeping for hours, she'd still feel drowsy after a meal and would promptly go back to sleep.
These three days marked the most she had ever slept in her entire life.
As for the world outside, Allen provided regular updates, keeping her informed of everything happening beyond
the station walls.
Right on cue, Allen arrived again.

anymore."
For the first three days, they had managed to contain the story, but today everything changed.
Reports of Suzy's alleged murder were dominating the headlines, and the story spread like wildfire. Her "crimes"
had becpublic knowledge.
Worse yet, her past had also been dragged into the spotlight, specifically, her work as an assassin and the
identities of those she had killed.
Even though her targets had all been vicious criminals, they were still individuals with significant status.
Previously, no one had known her true identity, so anyone seeking revenge couldn't find her.
But now, with her identity exposed, the families and friends of those she'd eliminated were bound to come
looking for her.
Hearing Allen's report, Suzy narrowed her bright eyes. "It seems they're serious about wantingdead this
time."
"Damn it, | never thought they'd pull this move!" Allen was fuming.
"I'm sure it's Claude behind all this. He couldn't have you, so now he's bent on destroying you! But one thing
doesn't make sense to me.
"We confirmed his death and sent his body for cremation. How could he have escaped that?"
"It's too soon to conclude it's him," Suzy said, her gaze steady as she looked at Allen.
"Don't let yourself be misled."
Allen pressed his lips together.
"It's not that I'm being misled-it's just that everything about this feels exactly like Claude's style and personality!
"Boss, could it be that during the cremation, something went wrong? Like maybe he arranged for a body double
in advance?
"When the tcame, the double took his place, and that's how he managed to escape."
Suzy couldn't help but laugh. "I've already told you, it's not necessarily him. Have you ever considered that
someone might be deliberately imitating Claude to throw us off?"
"Imitating?" Allen frowned, mulling it over.
"So, you're saying they might be copying Claude's methods on purpose to confuse us and hide their true

Suzy nodded. "It's possible. Until everything is revealed, we can't jump to conclusions. Don't let your
assumptions limit you-don't decide it's Claude before we have actual proof."
No matter what, Suzy firmly believed Claude was already dead. It was impossible for him to be behind this.
"If that's the case," Allen said thoughtfully.
"Then this person must know Claude inside and out. Otherwise, there's no way they could mimic him so
perfectly."
He paused, his brows furrowing. "Claude was so secretive, even we didn't know him that well. So, who could
possibly understand him better than us?"
