Chapter 631

lan was eating with a poker face.

Without a second thought, he brushed off Maja’s hand when he went to the bathroom.

Maja mentioned Carlene in front of him, but he didn’t respond to that.

He had already forgotten about Carlene, which gave her some comfort.

Half a month later, lan was about to be discharged from the hospital.

Maja went to handle his discharge procedures. When she returned to the ward, he had already packed his clothes.

Over the past half month, he looked much better than before and was now fixing his cufflinks.

Then Maja saw him staring blankly at the agarwood bracelet on his wrist, thinking hard, but couldn’t remember who

gave it to him.

Maja didn’t remind him. When he was about to take off the bracelet, he asked her, “When did I start wearing this?”

“Half a month ago, it was a birthday gift you received.”

lan raised an eyebrow, twirling the agarwood with his fingers.

Standing aside, Maja suddenly realized that lan was just as cold as the time when they first met..

It was only later that he seemed somewhat infatuated with her body, he liked kissing her, so he showed a different

side in front of her..

In front of the body he liked, his actions were more intense, rough.

Now he no longer liked her, he had forgotten her, so he left the place without any hesitation, instantly returning to

his aloof self.

And those brief déys of being down–to–earth seemed like a test.

Maja followed lan, taking away the files he had read.

Passing the large trash bin under the hospital, lan threw the agarwood bracelet into the bin without a second glance

and walked away.

The agarwood bracelet fell into the bin, and Maja felt as if her heart had fallen in with it.

She stood still.

Tan walked a few steps, turned around and saw her in a daze, frowned, and asked, “What are you doing?”

“Mr. Raymond, this bracelet is quite expensive. If you don’t want it, can I pick it up?”

lan frowned deeper, “Is the company not paying you enough? You like picking through trash that much?”

He got into the car.

Maja immediately fell silent, put away the files, and then got in the car to drive.

The agarwood bracelet was left quietly in the trash, soon to be covered by newly discarded trash, in that stinky

place.

Maja gripped the steering wheel tightly, listening to lan on the phone with his business partner.

He was a born businessman, even when injured, he could easily respond to the topics on the other end of the

phone.

Several calls later, lan finally fell silent.

When they arrived at the hotel, lan went into the bathroom to take a shower.

He could never take a comfortable shower in the hospital.

Coming out of the shower, he saw that the air conditioning in the room was not turned on, and his face immediately

turned gloomy.

“How did you get hired as my secretary? Don’t you know how to turn the air conditioning on? Do you want me to

freeze to death?”

Maja immediately picked up the remote and turned on the air conditioning.

The temperature stopped at 27 degrees, and his eyebrows knitted together.

“I like it at 28 degrees in winter and 22 in summer. As my personal assistant, shouldn’t you know that?”

“I’m sorry.”

Maja immediately apologized and then turned the temperature up a degree.

lan frowned as he was clearly dissatisfied with her performance.

His hair was still dripping wet, and he was only wrapped in a towel around his waist, droplets of water rolling down

his chest.

However, he had no interest in admiring himself, and Maja just stood there, at a loss.

Maja quickly pulled out the hairdryer, wanting to help him dry his hair, but as soon as she touched his hair, her hand

was swatted away.

Her hand turned red from the impact, and she quietly pulled it back.

This time lan didn’t hold back, asking, “What’s your name?”

Turned out they lived together for half a month, and he never even asked her name.

“Penny.”

“You’re fired. You can collect your wages from the finance department. I don’t want to see you at the Raymond

Group again.”

His words left no room for negotiation. He took the hairdryer and started drying his hair on the side.

Maja just stood there, watching him blow–dry, his.back muscles flexing, broad shoulders, narrow waist, great

physique.

Through the glass in front of him, lan saw her sneaking a peek and felt a bit uncomfortable and embarrassed.

“What are you looking at? Why aren’t you leaving?”
