Chapter 88
“You actually managed to detect it?!”
The man was stunned for a moment. He tore off the stethoscope hanging around his neck and slashed at Tim.
“Then | won't pretend anymore. Someone wants you to die. You can’t get out of here alive today!”
Tim endured the pain and narrowly avoided his attack. He rolled back to keep a distance from the man.
“Who sent you here?!”
“Can’t you guess who hired me?”
The man rushed up nimbly and began to fight with Tim in the narrow room.
“You're no longer of any value. You'll only get in the way of Miss Mellis if you live. | advise you not to be
ungrateful and just die obediently!”
He locked Tim with his thick right arm, raised his left hand high, and aimed at Tim's neck.
“It can’t be! That's impossible! Miss Mellis wouldn't hurt me. Who sent you to frher?”
Tim struggled violently, bent his elbow, and put it heavily on the man’s chest.
The man couldn't dodge in time, and the syringe in his hand was knocked out. Tim took the opportunity
to squat down and quickly picked up the syringe.
“Well done, boy. How dare you be so arrogant when you’re about to die? Hurry up and givethe syringe! I'll
send you to hell now!”
The man was completely enraged.
“That depends on whether you have the ability or not.” Tim covered the bleeding wound caused by the violent
movements and collided with the man.
The moment the two of them brushed past each other, Tim seized the opportunity, stabbed the needle into the
man’s back, and pushed the plunger with sedative inside hard.
The man let out a muffled groan and collapsed to the ground.
After doing all this, Tim collapsed on the ground as well and gasped for breath. When he recovered little
strength, he pushed the door open without hesitation.
No matter whether the man was telling the truth or not, he had to leave the Mellis family’s villa first.

Chapter 88
He ran out crazily. He wanted to find Nancy and ask her personally if the man was telling the truth!
He walked along the path that Nancy brought him inside on last night to the back door and stumbled out.
Because he was too eager to get an answer, he didn’t care about the bleeding wounds all over his body. In the
end, he was exhausted and fell to the ground.
He tried his best to support his body with his arms, trying not to fall, and his head was dizzy.
Vaguely, he saw a woman in a long red fishtail dress walking toward him.
“Fainted?”
The woman stood in front of him and observed him. There was no emotion in her cold voice.
In a semi-comatose state, Tim only felt that the voice was familiar. He tried to raise his head and see who it was,
but he blacked out completely.
When he woke up again, he found that the woman standing in front of him was...
... Sylvia Lancelot.
“You... you're not dead?!”
“Sorry to disappoint you.”
Sylvia smiled slightly and had no intention of leaving. After dealing with Nancy, she cspecially to see
Tim.
“I'm afraid you don’t know that Miss Mellis has been taken to the police station for committing several crimes,
and you'll be following close behind.”
“How is this possible?!”
Tim was shocked and angry, “You vicious woman! You must have framed her on purpose!”
Sylvia didn’t want to talk nonsense with him. “As for what exactly happened, you should go and ask her
yourself.”
“You're so shameless! Don’t think you can clear your name! Even if | go to prison, I'll try my hardest to
make you pay for what you did!”
“Okay, I'll be waiting.” Sylvia snorted and looked down at him. “But now, tellfirst, where is Edgar
Fallen?”
Tim looked up at Sylvia, sitting on the ground and laughing.

“What are you laughing at?” Sylvia frowned.
“I'm laughing at you. You haven't changed at all, and you're still attached to Mr. Fallen, just like before you
divorced.”
Tim stopped smiling and said in a particularly fierce tone, “I thought that after you escaped from death, you
would change and recognize the reality. It seems that | overestimated you.”
Although Sylvia was confused, she didn’t bother to explain it to him and remained silent.
“Do you think you can get Mr. Fallen back? Lettell you, that’s impossible! Mr. Fallen wouldn't like a
vicious woman like you.” Tim looked at her with disgust.
It took him a lot of effort to say that. He lay on the ground and kept gasping for breath, his facial features twisted
in pain.
Sylvia looked at him expressionlessly. “There's a limit to my patience. I'll ask you one last time. Where's Edgar
Fallen?”
“I won't tell you even if | die! Don’t think about looking for Mr. Fallen again!” Tim shouted hysterically, “When Mr.
Fallen comes back, he will definitely take revenge on you thousands of times over. He won't
let you go!”
“Very well.”
Sylvia turned around and left. “I hope you can still be so stubborn in the police station.”
She then opened the door and got in the car.
Even though Tim didn’t tell her, she had a way of finding out where Edgar was.
She raised her arm and looked at her watch. It was still early, so she planned to drive to the old mansion
of the Fallen family.

At the thought of the disgusting faces of the mother and daughter pair, she couldn’t help frowning with a
cold face.
After driving for a while, Sylvia was about to reach the familiar villa area. She changed gears and slowed
down.
Suddenly, her cell phone rang. She pulled over.
“What's wrong?”
“Ms. Lancelot, something's happened at the filming base!” Beth sounded panicked over the phone.

“Don’t worry. Calm down and talk about it slowly. What's going on at the filming base?” Sylvia leaned against the
back of the car seat, and her face gradually becserious.
“Two contestants suddenly had a dispute. One of them is from a very powerful family. She proposed to break her
contract and withdraw from the competition. She wants to sue the Angle Group in court... Ms. Lancelot, what
should we do? Please cover quickly!”
Beth's voice was full of sobs.
“Got it. Ill be right back. Wait forin the office.” Sylvia hung up.
She glanced at the villa in the rearview mirror, which was getting smaller and smaller. With a snort, she
stepped on the accelerator and sped in the opposite direction.
Beth had already prepared the documents and was waiting downstairs. Seeing Sylvia, Beth immediately
pounced on her.
“Ms. Lancelot, take a look first. The person in charge sent it to me.”
Beth anxiously handed the folder to Sylvia. “The two contestants are an actress of three years, and the daughter
of a rich family in Wind City. Neither side is willing to give in, which has seriously affected the shooting process.
What should we do?”
Sylvia took the file and read it quickly. After learning about the situation, she closed the folder.
“Ms. Lancelot?” asked Beth nervously.
She had just joined the company, and this was the first tshe had encountered such a thing. She was afraid
that if she couldn’t handle it well, it would cause a huge loss for the Angle Group.
“We'll deal with whatever comes our way. The Angle Group is not afraid of her.”
