Chapter 1066 Mr. Harper Must Like You
Growing up alongside Bert, Lucas had naturally become fearless of him. He shifted his gaze to Alivia, saying, "Ms.
Graves, do you have a boyfriend? When my mom returns, I can ask her to introduce you to another handsome
guy!"
Alivia was somewhat taken aback. Were kids this precocious nowadays?
Before she could respond, Bert, who was sitting nearby, interjected, "Lucas, who taught you all these things? Was it
Grace?"
"No," Lucas shook his head, recalling a scene where his mother introduced a girlfriend to Mr. Perkins, "I overheard
Mom introducing a girlfriend to Mr. Perkins before!"
"Ms. Graves doesn't need one," Bert interrupted Lucas without hesitation.

introduce someone?"
Alivia's gaze shifted between the two, afraid they might start arguing, so she hurriedly played peacemaker, "Lucas,
I do have a boyfriend now, but thank you anyway. When your mom returns, we can all go out for fun together."
"Alright then," Lucas nodded somewhat disappointed, "Guess it's fine."
Because of the mention of "boyfriend," Bert's gaze immediately fell on her face, and a faint sense of annoyance
rose within him as he looked at her fair complexion.
He recalled the occasional late-night phone calls she would quietly answer and slip away, so she already had a
boyfriend?
No wonder she always talked about wanting to return to her home country; there was a reason behind it.
The perfectly cooked steak on his plate lost its appeal. He picked up the cigarette box on the table, "I'll go to the
restroom. Take good care of Lucas."
"Okay."
As the tall man left the dining room, he turned and entered the restroom next to it, and Lucas looked up at Alivia,
"Ms. Graves, Bert is just being contradictory. Don't mind him."
"Oh?"
"He definitely thinks you're pretty, a hundred percent!" Lucas almost patted his chest to assure her, "I've never
seen Bert with any other girl, so he must like you."
Alivia's heart rose and fell with Lucas's words, but even she wasn't sure why she felt this way.
She felt that a child's thoughts were always pure; they mistook what they saw and didn't understand what real
affection meant. Trying not to take it seriously, she persuaded herself, "Mr. Harper is a good person, and we'll
become good friends."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLucas shook his head, "It's not like that. You don't understand."
With that said, he acted like an adult and stopped discussing the matter, focusing instead on cutting his own steak.
The meal lasted almost an hour and a half. Ms. Glenn came to the hotel to pick up Lucas in her car. She needed to
take Lucas back to Lucy and Ben's place as early as possible.
Bert personally came to see Lucas off and only relaxed after seeing the child get into the car.
When he turned around, he caught Alivia staring at him. His thick eyebrows raised slightly, "What are you looking
at?"
Alivia realized she had been staring absentmindedly and blushed, retracting her gaze, "No, nothing..."
As she spoke, she took a step towards the hotel, but her wrist was suddenly caught by the man. Her delicate wrist
was engulfed in his large palm as though it could be broken at any moment.
She looked up in surprise, "What's wrong?"
The man's gaze intensified, and his dark eyes held a complex and unreadable expression. He gently asked, "Do you
have a boyfriend now?"
