“The organization doesn’t need us either,” Mike said with mixed emotions, not trying to convince Rhea.
‘All Rhea cares about is her research. She's obsessed with it, and getting her to fight against the organization or shut down this evil
place is impossible. It's pointless to convince her since only her experiments and fmatter to her.’
Rhea nodded, “Yes, you're right! However, the world always needs someone valuable. As long as | prove useful to them, they'll
need me. Just like how they need Lily now.”
A mysterious smile formed on her face after a while. “However, it won't be long for her case.”

She said it before, but Mike did not take it too seriously. Now that she had repeated it, he couldn't help but ask, “What the hell do
you mean? Why wouldn't the organization need Lily? Anyone could be a test subject. Why must it be Lily? With her abilities—"
“With her abilities, she could do much more for the organization?” Rhea interrupted, knowing full well what he wanted to say.
Mike was surprised. He wanted to say that but wondered what Rhea was trying to say.
“You're wrong! Indeed, the organization finds Lily’s knowledge most useful, but it's not just that. It's also because of her body and
her capabilities...”
Mike looked at Rhea, puzzled.
Rhea seemingly realized she no longer had a reason to hide it from him, or maybe because she was trying to gain his trust. Still,
she decided to tell him what she knew. “I also discovered it by chance.
“Besides the drug's effects, the organization has never revealed its last and most crucial step for R10.”
“What is it?” Mike thought about it. “Use Lily as a test subject? A vessel?”
Rhea mentioned it before but could not pursue it back then as he was anxious to look for Lily.

‘Since she’s willing to talk about it now, | might as well find out about it.”
“That's right!” Rhea said, “A f*cking vessel! R10 will eventually be used on her so that her body will absorb the drug first. It'll
mitigate the toxicity and enhance the drug when human cells absorb and break it down, finally making it ready for its true use.”
Mike found it hard to believe.” Will the drug still be useful after a human body absorbs it?”
“Of course! As long as they tit well, they can produce the optimal results.” She clicked her tongue out of habit. “I have to admit
it's a brilliant idea. | wonder which genius thought of it. I'm looking forward to seeing its results.”
She was obsessed with experiments, but not Mike, who thought it was horrible.
‘Letting the human body absorb and break down the drug before using it? Isn't using humans as ‘filtering agents’ too inhumane?’
“But she... is pregnant!” Mike muttered to himself.
