Darren dropped his usual arrogant demeanor the second the call connected, speaking to the other person in a meek and respectful
tone.
"Alright, then. | know what to do now! I'll have it settled this very second and make sure nothing big that might affect youes
out of it."
After getting the answer he needed from the call, Darren hung up and a murderous expression appeared on his face at once.
Right after he had slipped his phone back into his pocket, however, he saw an unfamiliar young man appear next to him out of the
corner of his eye.
The man's sudden appearance gave Darren a scare, and he nearly dropped his phone on the ground.
