As long as he could summon the dragon formed from his dragon aura and have it fly around, the dragon would be able to block
Wind Sprite's attack.
However, this was the only chance Wilbur had. If he were to fail, Wind Sprite would probably kill him before he could summon the
dragon once more. Thus, Wilbur had to improve his hearing and attack speed to secure a chance at beating Wind Sprite.
With that in mind, Wilbur made up his mind on what he was going to do. His body hadpletely recovered half an hour later, and
he tore off a strip of fabric from his clothes to use as a blindfold. He picked up a rock off the ground, tossing it out.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe rock hit a big tree, causing its branches to shake as a wave of leaves fell from the tree. Wilbur's ear twitched, and he struck
out at once. Wilbur danced through the air, swinging his sword around, piercing through each leaf one by one before they hit the
ground.
After the leaves stopped falling, Wilbur took off the blindfold to inspect the leaves on the ground. He saw that most of the leaves
had been pierced through, but several of them were stillpletely intact. There had been a breeze earlier, which changed the
direction of sof the leaves.
Wilbur frowned. "This won't do. Wind Sprite was faster than the wind itself. If | can't even match this speed, I'd just be wasting my
chance."
At that thought, Wilbur swept the fallen leaves away. He put on the blindfold again, repeating the process of striking a tree with a
rock and piercing through the leaves that fell.
A few dozen meters away, Wind Sprite's brows furrowed as he watched Wilbur from afar. "What on earth is this kid doing?"
After trying to sharpen his precision and speed again and again, Wilbur managed to improve slightly. However, the leaves were
bound to change direction several times as they fell, and thus every tWilbur would still find a few leaves that he had not
managed to pierce.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAfter every try, Wilbur would pay close attention to where the leaves fell. He would put the blindfold back on after that and start
again.
Wilbur practiced for two whole days, and it was not until noon on the third day that he managed to pierce through all the leaves
that fell. He let out a long breath and promptly made his way to the formation core on the right where Wind Sprite was.
There was a faint golden glow where the formation core was, and Wind Sprite seemed to be basking in it. He did not open his eyes
upon hearing Wilbur's footsteps, merely asking, "You're here?"
