Seeing Charlie and Ben chatting, Leonard glanced at them now and then and grunted secretly.
Theresa looked at her son, walked over, and ruffled his hair. “What are you doing?”
“I’m looking at this.” He wasn’t playing anything, just looking at the computer program.
The computers in Charlie’s office were top-of-the-line and usually hard to find outside. They were many times more
advanced than Theresa’s stupid computer.
Charlie saw Theresa come in and came over with Ben in his arms, saying, “Done?”
Before she came, Charlie was not happy at the thought of signing a divorce agreement with her.
However, he didn’t think he had any reason to go back on his promise to her.

As Theresa spoke, Jonathan called and told Charlie about Theresa’s request. Charlie sat down in a chair, heard what

Theresa said, “I know, but I’m still worried… I’m with you now, so we can talk about anything in time, but it will be
different when we are divorced. Maybe I will offend you in some way… You will have a new family. Maybe you will
have a problem with me when you’re remarried. Anyway, I just want a guarantee in advance.”

Theresa looked at Charlie and said, “Now you’re talking about me like that! When I first met you, you were even
more sensitive than I am.”
“You cured me.” Charlie thought that if he hadn’t met her, he wouldn’t have gotten as well as he was now.
He had been negative and depressed since his legs were broken.
Now he was better, but she wasn’t!
She still wouldn’t trust anyone.
Even now she was on guard against him!

have to take what I give you. You deserve it. If you don’t take it, then I can’t agree to your condition either.”
He had wanted to keep her by his side, but now he had to let her go. That was all he could do.
“Okay.” Theresa nodded.
She signed the new agreement when Jonathan got it ready and brought it in.
