things back home, and she would never be able to afford them even though she earned a lot more than

“It’s better for a girl to find herself the right husband. I’m afraid that someone won’t be able to spend her
partner’s money even if she wants to,” said Lydia.
Even though Stella did not like Lydia or agree with what she said, she was amused by the fact that
Sophia could not find a word to refute Lydia.
She just could not figure out what Keegan did to make him act like a decent human.

the interview at Calton University.”
Everybody there smiled without saying anything.
They did not ignore her because of how badly she wanted to show off her son. Otherwise, they would
have plenty of other reasons to dislike her.
