outside.”
Kristopher didn’t push it. One more playful move and she’d see straight through him.
After changing, he carefully folded his clothes and tucked them, along with his watch, into a plain paper bag.
When he stepped back into the hallway, Carrie was already waiting. He handed her the bag. “The MRI room’s got
strong magnetic fields. Don’t cin—just wait in the office.”
“Alright,” she said softly, taking the bag.
His eyes lingered on her figure—especially the subtle curve of her belly.
