Chapter 306 "Yes, it's all my fault. It was me, not Lucas," Xenia said pitifully, shrinking back in fear.

Donovan glanced at Xenia and then looked at Lucas with a hint of displeasure. "You're the older brother, Lucas. How can you just leave Xenia to take the fall alone?" Lucas quickly protested, "No, Donovan. This really has nothing to do with me. It's not my fault!" Donovan shot back, "You two ctogether earlier. Even though Xenia did most of the talking, you knew about it and were involved in the whole thing. Now that things have cto light, how can you act like it's not your responsibility?" Lucas was shaken by Donovan's words. He was feeling cornered because he really had nothing to do with it; it was all Xenia's idea.

He turned to Xenia. "Tell him, Xenia. Explain to Donovan that this was all your doing. I tried to stop you!" Xenia bit her lip and softly admitted, "Yes, it was me, Donovan. Everything was my decision." Donovan pulled Xenia closer, trying to calm her. "It's okay, Xenia. Don't worry. I've got your back. You don't have to take the blalone." Xenia nodded obediently. "If Noelle insists on pursuing this, then let it fall on me. Don't let this affect Lucas' future." Lucas stared at her in disbelief. "Xenia, what are you saying?" How could she take the blfor everything when he had nothing to do with it? To Donovan, he was just as guilty.

Just then, Noelle walked over with a smile. "Have you two figured out how to handle this? Everyone's waiting." Donovan tried to maintain his composure and whispered, "Noelle, I really didn't expect you to play dirty." "No, wasn't that your lesson to me?" Noelle said with a smile. "Mr. Liddell, you might want to think carefully about how to handle this. I'm just following your lead, though I doubt I'll need to." Donovan's temper flared. "You-" Xenia hid behind Donovan. She was afraid to face Noelle.

Donovan forced himself to calm down, though the anger still burned in him. "Noelle, what do you want?" Noelle replied calmly, "Didn't you say earlier that we should have the lawyers look into this thoroughly? I'm just doing what you taught me. Let's have the lawyers sort it out." Donovan gritted his teeth. "I'll offer you a sum of money as compensation. Let's just forget about it." Noelle shook her head. "I don't think so. I'd rather see you penalized and lose this bidding opportunity. That seems like a better outcto me." "Noelle, don't go too far!" Donovan snapped.

Noelle raised her hand to her mouth. "Go too far? I'm just following the rules. How is that too much?" "Xenia and Lucas didn't do this on purpose, Noelle. They were just a little careless. You can't seriously hold them accountable for something so small, can you?" Noelle raised an eyebrow. "Are you tellingthey were careless when they sat in front of my computer, flipped through my ideas page by page, carefully photographed them, and went straight to you to offer up my work so you could fuse my ideas into a presentation and accidentally showcase it?" She coldly added, "I think what you're really upset about is that they were careless enough to get caught, and now you have no way out." Donovan was seething in anger, but he couldn't refute her. The evidence was undeniable.

"Noelle, do you have to be so infuriating? I've been out there for years, but I never expected you to turn out like this." Donovan remembered how obedient Noelle had been as a child.

Though Noelle appeared neutral, there was a commanding aura about ਪਾਕ her. She had transformed into someone Donovan could no longer recognize.

Donovan softened his tone, trying to sound conciliatory. "What will What will it take for us to settle this without pressing charges, Noelle? We're family-can't we work this out?" Noelle smirked. It was too late to bring up family ties now. "There's nothing to discuss," she said.

She knew Donovan's tricks all too well. This wasn't the first tsomething like this had happened.

Noelle then turned to the official and said firmly, "I request that Liddelm Corporation be disqualified from this bidding process."
