Chapter 396 Magnus had mentioned having something important to tell Noelle, but she had completely forgotten about it after everything that happened last night.

Now she felt conflicted and wondered what Magnus had wanted to say.

She noticed he called her. There was a call duration, which meant Cedric had picked up.

Noelle texted Cedric. "Do you think Magnus has a girlfriend?" Cedric felt a sudden sense of unease when he saw her question. He frowned and replied, "As far as I know, no. Why are you asking?" "Does he like someone then?" Cedric immediately sat up straight when he read that text. He called her, and she picked up almost instantly. "Hello?" Noelle was surprised he had called. Could something have happened to Magnus? After a long pause, Cedric asked, "Why are you asking many questions about Magnus' love life?" His tone was low and tense, and he was clenching his jaw.

Noelle hesitated and replied, "It's nothing. I'm just curious." She figured she might've been overthinking it. Magnus' important matter could very well be entirely something else.

Cedric narrowed his eyes slightly. "There must be a reason. You wouldn't ask out of nowhere." After stime, Noelle said, "You answered Magnus' call last night, didn't you?" "Yes." "What did he say?" Cedric's lips pressed into a thin line. "Nothing much." "Oh really?" "What do you think he said?" "I wouldn't be asking you if I knew," Noelle replied matter-of-factly.

Cedric pondered briefly and was relieved that Magnus hadn't gotten the chance to say anything yet.

Both sides fell silent after that, and Cedric was the first to speak. "If there's nothing else you want to say, get srest." "Alright, goodbye." After hanging up, Noelle decided to head to the gym and work on her boxing skills. If she were stronger, she wouldn't have been so powerless in the situation she encountered last night.

Soon after, Noelle receive multiple calls from sponsors offering to support the team's base.

She knew it was all credited to Blake's interview. Now everyone at school knew she was the sister of a celebrity.

It felt sickening as if she'd swallowed sdisgusting spit. Blake had done it on purpose.

She looked over the recent expenses for the team and realized they were running low on funds. Sponsorships were essential.

Just then, Cedric called again and asked in a deep voice, "Are you running out of money?" "Not me, but the team is. I had a conflict with Samantha, so the Merlocks have stopped their sponsorship and pressured other companies to cut ties with us as well." "Maple Enterprise is more than happy to sponsor. Why not ask?" Noelle hesitated. "I wanted to see if we could secure sponsorships without relying on connections." "Networking is a skill in business. Quit being that stubborn." Noelle chuckled slightly. "Thanks for the sponsorship boss." After hanging up, she was approaching the dorm entrance when someone suddenly sprayed her with white streamers. "Noelle, withdraw your lawsuit and let Lucas out!"

Noelle raised an arm to shield herself. She noticed the groupheld signs supporting Lucas and was clearly his fans. She snatched the items from them.

Blake rushed out to step protectively in front of her. "Please calm down everyone. Lucas incident is under investigation and has nothing to do with Noelle."

"But we heard it was Noelle who filed the charges. What kind of viciaus sister sends her brother to prison?" "You've misunderstood. Noelle wouldn't file a lawsuit. She isn't someone like that." Blake turned to Noelle with a smile. "Right? Why don't you explain to everyone?"
