"Finish your dinner and then head upstairs to tackle your homework. My parents toldto stick with you for the next few days, so I'm crashing at your place. Uncle Shaw's already on board with it and made sure I keep you on task," Alec said, setting down his fork.
Alec and Fiona had grown up side by side, spending most of their tat the Aldridge Estate. Sophie and Colby were always busy with work and later spent years globe-trotting. So, it was Harold and James who mainly looked after them. Alec's personality mirrored Harold's and James's in sways.
Over time, Alec got used to looking after Fiona, especially when it cto making sure she did her homework. He was nothing if not diligent.
"This time, you're too late," Fiona said, rushing to the sofa and pulling out her completed homework from her backpack. "I've finished all my assignments today. Surprised?" Seeing Fiona unusually on top of her homework made Alec uneasy. "Fiona, what are you up to?" "What's on your mind? I just remembered Lee mentioned that the white powder was being sold around the school. I figured we could try our luck. If we catch someone, wouldn't we be heroes?" Fiona said as she packed her backpack.
But instead of books, her backpack was loaded with pepper spray and close- combat tools. Alec rubbed his temples. He should've known Fiona couldn't stay out of trouble. She seemed bored with the quiet days and was craving sexcitement, maybe hoping for a thrilling adventure to impress her parents.

Meanwhile, in the car, Sophie was checking the testimony Harold sent on her phone without looking up, she said to Colby, "Colby, make sure our people keep an eye on Fiona." "Got it." Odie, driving up front, frowned. "Keep an eye on Fiona?"
"Sophie, you've been Fiona's Odie for so many years, and you still don't get this girl's nature?" Sophie remarked. "I would be a miracle if she stayed hquietly."
Sophie was absolutely certain. The moment they left, Fiona would find a way to sneak out. baie frowned too, "This girl, I wonder where she picked up these mischiefs."
