Joe chuckled icily before saying, “How foolhardy. With their abilities, if not for their underground trade activities,
they wouldn't have managed to develop their company to its current scale. It’s unsurprising that they've closed
down now.”
“They might trouble you. Sorry about that,” said Skylar with a frown. When she thought of how the Williams
family clung to them like barnacles on a ship, hatred churned in her stomach.
Joe was unbothered. He responded, “There have been countless people who have tried to causetrouble since
| was a kid. The Williams family is nothing to me. | would hardly call them trouble.”
Skylar knew Joe was telling the truth. She replied, “Thank you.”
