Chapter 606: As if on cue, a figure emerged in the distance. Darrel's voice, calm and authoritative, broke the tension. "Santino, what kind of mess have you dragged yourself into this time?" The moment Darrel stepped out of his car, the atmosphere shifted. His presence was formidable, years of business dealings giving his gaze a weight that demanded attention. The crowd parted instinctively, their voices falling to murmurs. Upon seeing his uncle, Santino's eyes filled with relief. "Darrel! You finally made it!" He pushed past the onlookers, hobbling with every ounce of strength until he reached Darrel's side. Quickly, he pointed an accusatory finger at Allison and her group, a smug smile forming as he began his tirade. "These people ganged up on me! If we weren't on Sunset Hill, who knows what they'd have done to me!" He let the words pour out, his gaze fixed on Allison with undisguised satisfaction. "Now that my uncle's here, you can beg all you want, but it won't do you any good!" Darrel's expression darkened as he took in the scene, his brows knitting together as he studied the faces before him. The crowd held its breath, knowing better than to interrupt.

We got tangled up in a debt issue, and... well, Allison and her friends were understandably upset." She paused, letting a hint of distress creep into her voice. "Mr. Barker only tried to protect us, but it seems Allison might have been frustrated. That's why she let Mr. Lloyd get... physical." Darrel's eyes landed on Santino's bruised face, his frown deepening. He let a heavy silence settle before asking in a stern voice, "What exactly happened here?" The moment Darrel spoke, even Rebecca felt the subtle shift in the crowd, sensing that he was no ordinary man. Santino, however, seized the chance, whining loudly, "Uncle, she's the one causing trouble!" He stood smugly, ready to watch Allison get scolded.
But as Darrel's gaze fell on Allison, he froze, his stern demeanor softening into something almost reverent. Surprised and visibly pleased, he moved toward her, exclaiming, "Ms. Clarke! I can hardly believe it — after all these years!" Santino's smug expression faltered. He was stunned, left immobile. His uncle — a figure known for his unyielding authority - was being deferential to Allison?! She lifted a hand, stopping Darrel in his tracks. “No need to ccloser," she said.
"Okay." He halted obediently, standing two paces away.
The demeanor displayed by the esteemed head of Sunset Hill left onlookers in a state of disbelief as they observed his compliance with a subtle gesture from Allison.

"It's been a while, Darrel. I didn't realize you had a nephew who finds pleasure in bullying others." A bead of sweat appeared on Darrel's forehead.
