"Thanks for that," Lizetta nodded at Remington, her tone polite but distant, as if she wished she could draw a clear line between them. Remington's jaw tightened slightly, but he didn't say anything. Without complaint, he pulled out his phone and dialed Cassius's number. However, there was no answer.
After the call automatically ended, Remington looked at Lizetta. "Cassius has a place not far from here, about a ten-minute drive. He might have taken Yolanda there. Shall we go check it out?" By then, Cedric had slowly driven up and stopped in front of them.
Remington stepped forward to open the car door, but Lizetta didn't move. Instead, she gestured toward a car not far away and raised her voice. "I'll take my own car, thanks. Just sendthe address, Mr. Dashiell." She casually waved her phone, walking towards the approaching Madden family car.

"You'll need to addon Whatso I can send you the address," he said, looking down at his phone. Lizetta's lips curled slightly. "Can't you just text it to me? If that's too much trouble, you can tellnow. I'll remember it." Remington was momentarily speechless. He had never realized how stubborn and challenging she could be. Seeing his hesitation, Lizetta raised an eyebrow in confusion.
With a slight purse of his lips, Remington put away his phone and said in a neutral tone, "Just get in the car. I have sthings to tell you about the West family." At the mention of the West family, Lizetta's steps faltered slightly.
Remington cracked a small smile, looking at her. "Cedric's here. What, you think I'm going to eat you?" Cedric, who was looking back at them, inwardly sighed. He was just the driver; how did he end up being a tool in the president's schto coax his wife into the car? But he promptly played along, loudly saying, "Good evening, ma'am. Please, get in without worries." Lizetta rolled her eyes at Cedric's overly sincere and almost sycophantic smile, thinking it seemed more like something a sketchy driver would do. Nevertheless, she bent downelgot into the car, sitting near the door, with Remington following closely behind.
As the car slowly pulled away, Remington instructed, "Head to LANG Villa." He noticed Lizetta's hands clasped together and added, "Turn up the heat a bit." Cedric immediately complied.
Earlier, when Remington had helped Lizetta clean her sleeve in the restroom, he accidentally touched her arm and wrist, feeling how cold she was. Lizetta seemed particularly sensitive to the cold.
Sitting quietly, Lizetta didn't look up until Remington turned to her. She then lifted her gaze from her conversation with Yolanda and looked at him. "What about the West family? You can talk now." Remington met her calm gaze, a hint of sadness flashing in his deep eyes.
It's not a pleasant feeling, knowing that no matter how eager or cautious, angry or tormented you are, the other person remains utterly indifferent.

with her girlish thoughts and feelings, her unrequited hopes and dreams He realized his feelings right now might be strikingly similar to hers back then. "Mr. Dashiell?" Lizetta noticed Remington's silence and his somber expression, growing impatient as she tilted her head.
Her hand gripping the phone turned white with tension. She couldn't m guess what he was thinking about or NO wanted to say, but his brooding look unnerved her, making her want to escape. Remington's gaze flickered, snapping back to the present. His expression returned to normal as he spoke.
"I've planted tyvo people within the
West family. For over four months, I haven't heard a peep about Hans or that night from Martin and Stella's night from daily conversations. The father and daughter are tight-lipped; I can't get anything out of them."
