Chapter 1066
Ralph rolled his eyes at the gatekeeper, but he had expected them to stop him.
He said, 'Then, how can I go inside? I have some urgent matters to discuss with them. You can't expect
me to wait outside under the scorching sun, right? Can I enter if Alex grants me entrance permission?"
The gatekeeper was stunned by his suggestion. He did not quite understand what Ralph meant but
insisted, "If Mr. Russell allows it, then we won't stop you. However, Mr. Russell is not home."
"Why are you such a knucklehead? Just because he isn’t in doesn't mean I can't call him!" Ralph took
out his phone and called Alexander, "Hello, Alex. Why did you leave? Where's my mother?"

'With you? I thought she said she'd wait for me, why did you leave without me?! Pass the phone to
her!" Ralph complained, unhappy they left him behind.
Margaret noticed Alexander looking at her, so she asked, "What's wrong?"
"Uncle Ralph said you were supposed to wait for him. Is that true?" He asked and handed the phone
over to her.
Margaret slapped her thigh, realizing, "Oh, I’ve forgotten all about that! Yes, we were supposed to wait
for him before leaving. I was so happy talking to you both that I forgot all about it!"
She said while gently tapping her head and sighing. Margaret took the phone and told Ralph, "I'm sorry.
I forgot about you. Why don’t you go home on your own then?"
"Go home? I thought we were supposed to go for tea and watch Broadway together. It’s fine, I'll just
wait here for you, but they won't let me enter. Can you ask Alex to tell his men I'll be waiting inside for
you? Is he worried I’ll steal something?" Ralph added as he glanced at Alexander's gatekeeper
disapprovingly.
"I-I don’t think you should do that," Margaret hesitantly said as she looked at Alexander. "Alex, since it's
all my fault, do you think you can allow your uncle to wait for us in your house?"
Alexander glanced at her and said, "I don’t think that's a good idea. Why don't you tell him to go home,
and you can reschedule your date? Besides, I don't think you'll have enough time."

get tickets for the next one!" Margaret immediately rejected his suggestion.
"Then, how about we turn back now? You can make it for the show then. We can always reschedule
our shopping date," Alexander suggested.
Margaret shook her head almost instantly. "You're always so busy. Besides, your wedding date is just
around the corner. We can't postpone the shopping anymore."
'Then..." Margaret was acting up. She was insistent on Alexander granting access to Ralph.
"Forget about it. I’ll tell Ralph to go home. We’ll just miss the Broadway show!" She finally waved
dismissively.
Margaret was unhappy with this decision, but she noticed something. "Oh no, where's my ring? I had it
on my finger a while ago."
"Mom, what ring? Are you okay?" Ralph asked over the phone.
