Chapter 1343 'You guys are useless pieces of cr*p!" Dominic glanced at the book he was holding and
instructed, "Just let him go!"
His people released Austin and stood in their spots to await further instructions. After regaining his
freedom, Austin immediately stood up and stretched his body before saying, "Granduncle! I’m not
causing chaos this time, and I'm not here to beg you for anything. I really need to ask you about
something important!"
'You?" Dominic looked up and clicked his tongue. "What important matters could you possibly have?"
"I..." Austin started but hesitated as he looked around them.
"What embarrassing things did you do this time?” Dominic questioned and waved to motion for the
others to leave. Austin continued when only the two remained, "Granduncle, you've been researching
medicinal herbs for many years. Do you know of herbs that could temporarily numb one's nerves,
making them unable to move for that period?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtDominic looked at Austin as if he was an idi*t before slowly saying, "What's wrong with you? Ever
heard of anesthesia?"
"No, it's not that! It's..." Austin panicked, not knowing how to explain himself. After some thought, he
asked, "It’s... is there such a thing where I poke two fingers on you, then you won't be able to move or
say anything?"
Austin poked at Dominic's body, not caring how he would feel, to demonstrate to Dominic what he
meant. Of course, Austin dared not poke Dominic hard, but he touched him lightly.
Austin's memory of that incident was growing vague, and he acted it out according to how he
remembered it. Then he said, "Then the person would be able to move after you pat them again."
The sight of Austin incoherently blabbering things, along with his bewildered expression, made Dominic
narrow his eyes. This time, he did not mock Austin but said after some serious thought, 'You mean
numbing someone’s nerves by hitting on their acupuncture points?"
"No, it's not that!” Austin shook his head, denying it. "Those things only exist in folklore, and they don't
exist at all. I'm guessing it’s a medicine that could numb one's nerves, and that's how it freezes a
person. One could use needles to poke at someone's acupuncture points to achieve that effect, but it
doesn't hurt!”
Austin thought about it, and it did not feel like a needle poked him. He was unprepared for it and
sensed no danger, but he was frozen, unable to talk. Austin could only open his mouth but could get no
words out. It was as if he had suddenly lost his voice. He did not know how to describe how he felt
then, but it horrified him.
Dominic looked at Austin's fearful and confused face. It made Dominic smile. "Why can’t a person's
nerves go numb when their acupuncture
points get hit? Why do you think such things don't exist? There are various disciplines of medicine in
this world, so how could you be certain it doesn't exist?"
With the book in his hand, Dominic turned and headed into the house, slowly striding as he continued,
'The world is so big, and we know so little about it. Just because you don't know about it doesn't mean

'The things you know might not be entirely true either. How well can you tell between the real and fake
in this world?" Then Dominic took a seat in his rattan chair leisurely while his words confused Austin
even more.
Austin was stunned and stood in silence for a moment.
'Granduncle means a person can go numb when someone hits their acupuncture points. So, that was
what Lily did? Does she know how to do that? I thought she only learned a little about kickboxing and
was a better fighter than most girls.'
Austin found that unacceptable.
"Granduncle, even if such a thing exists, it should take many years for someone to master it, right? It's
not something anyone can just learn so easily." He was still unwilling to believe that Lily could do it.
Without averting his gaze from the book, Dominic chuckled and asked casually, 'You were frozen in
place because someone had hit your acupuncture points?"
