Chapter 1501 "Alex called me last night, telling me that he had come back, but he couldn't return home
yet because there were still some things he needed to settle. He told me not to worry too much about it.
"As for Edward, I didn't have the chance to speak to him. Plus, I was in a rush, and I didn’t think of
asking that question. I'll make sure to ask Alex this the next time he calls me, okay? I promise!" Lily
comforted.
However, she was only telling half the truth. It was true that she did not think of asking Alexander the
question, but Edward was not there at the time.
As Lily's words sounded true and there was no problem with the story, Olivia did not have any doubts
about it and trusted Lily naturally. Nodding, she said, "Okay! Then you must ask on my behalf the next
time.
"If he lost it due to his carelessness, I'll teach him a lesson when he's back! We promised each other to
keep our rings safe when we got married. How could he lose it this way? I’m starting to doubt his
combat skills now."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLily felt upset upon hearing that but did not dare to speak more, afraid that she would give something
away. As a result, she quickly interrupted Olivia, saying, "You're right! What about if I get some tools
ready for you when he comes home? You can punish him in a thousand different ways by then."
'There's no need for that. I'm not that crazy yet!" Olivia muttered, wanting to say something else, but
she saw Lily yawn. "I didn't get a good sleep last night because of the phone call! I’m going to take a
nap. You should do the same too! We can rest well now that we know they're fine."
Seeing that Lily was yawning and squinting her eyes, Olivia could tell she was truly exhausted.
She knew that Lily had been through a lot in recent days and hence, she just nodded and said, "Okay
then. I'll head home now, and I hope you have a good nap! Mr. Russell shouldn't have called you in the
middle of the night to disturb your sleep when you're still pregnant! He needs to learn how to choose a
better time." 'That's right! I’m going to teach him a lesson when he comes home too!" Lily nodded,
agreeing to Olivia's words.
Olivia chuckled when she imagined how hilarious it would look when Alexander got punished. "I'll be
leaving now!"
She picked up her bag and took a few steps but came back soon, looking like she was suddenly
reminded of something. "Oh right. Do you remember that I told you the royals of Yudonia want to
custom-make perfumes..." "Didn’t I tell you that we wouldn’t accept their orders?" Lily was in thought for
a moment, almost forgetting that such a thing existed.
She had a lot on her plate recently and had no time to accept that order, which was troublesome and
would put her in a difficult position. They were the royals of Yudonia, but what did that have to do with
her? She was not interested in gaining any political favors, as she just wanted to focus on her career as
a perfumer.
If they truly liked her products, they could just buy the perfumes that she had created. Custom-making
perfumes depended solely on her mood at the time.
"I did reject them, but they sent me another two emails after that, and they did not sound as polite as
they did in the first email anymore. Since they're royals, I thought it wouldn't be nice to offend them too
much, so I wanted to ask for your opinion on this."
After a moment of pause, Olivia continued, "By the way, I've forwarded the email to you. I guess you

look at them.
"Even if we were to reject them, we shouldn't end the conversation on a bad note. We’re not trying to
curry favor with the royals, but we shouldn’t offend them either. It wouldn't bring us any benefits." Olivia
managed to calm down. Her mind was clearer all of a sudden, and she knew how to deal with this
matter.
Before this, her mind was a mess because she was worried about Edward. Plus, she was desperate to
visit Burnwken so she had put this matter aside for far too long. Now that she was not worried anymore
because Edward was fine, she had to prioritize this matter.
Lily nodded, agreeing with Olivia's words. They should not have any bad blood with the royals, even if
they had no intention of currying favor with them. After all, it was not a good thing to offend the royals,
no matter how one looked at it.
"I got it. I'll check out my inbox later. Have a good rest in the next couple of days and stay home if
possible," Lily said.
