Chapter 1593
The two looked at each other without saying a word, and the atmosphere turned awkward.
"You..." Lily didn't know what to say as she looked at Olivia. "What are you doing?"
Olivia did not reply.
"Are you following me?"
Silence followed again as Olivia did not speak. Seeing her drooping head and worried face, Lily sighed.
"Is this about Edward?"
Only then did Olivia look up at Lily and ask, "No. Is Mr. Russell back?"
Lily was astounded. Instead of asking about Edward, Olivia was asking about Alexander. Lily pursed

"Can I see him?” Olivia asked.
"No!" Lily refused in an instant. The only reason behind it was because of Alexander's current physical
condition. He should see as few people as possible.
She even kept his return a secret from his mother for fear that she would come and visit him at the
hospital if she knew about it. At her age, it would be terrible if she also caught the plague. It was only
right to take precautions because of how infectious this disease was.
"Why? I just have a few questions I need to ask him." Olivia was surprisingly persistent. "I'll leave right
after."
"With his current physical condition, he may not be able to answer your questions," Lily replied with a
sigh.
"Huh?"
"If there's news about Edward, I'll tell you immediately!" Lily reassured her. She guessed that Olivia
must be doing this because of Edward. Then Lily raised her hand to pat Olivia on her shoulder but
missed.
It seemed like Olivia had dodged her touch. "There's no need forthat.’
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. You don't have to keep lying to me like this."
Olivia's tone of voice sounded strange. It was almost as if it was full of resentment.
Now, Lily was shocked. After all, Olivia was never such a person.

to my face," Lily said, "You know I hate it when people beat around the bush."
As soon as she said this, Olivia's eyes suddenly reddened. "You know I've always been a
straightforward person. I've always believed in you and Mr. Russell. I trust everything you say. If you tell
me I should wait, I’ll patiently wait. But, Lily, if you had to choose, are you going to choose Mr. Russell
or me?"
Lily was perplexed by her question.
‘What is going on?!’
"What do you mean I have to choose? You're my friend, and he's my husband. You two are important
to me. How am I supposed to choose?"
