Chapter 398
Lily roughly talked about getting kidnapped in Westwood but skipped over Alexander's trip to Westwood to find
her. In addition, she omitted and understated the part about herself dealing with the kidnappers. Even so, her
two friends looked pale with fright.
"Yikes! The kidnappers had guns?!"
"They must be terrorists!"
"How did you get yourself into that situation?"
The duo sighed in amazement. Just imagining the scene was already terrifying, and seeing Lily seemingly
unscathed was a miracle.

anything wrong. Don’t keep it to yourself.”
Olivia, on the sidelines, added, "Yeah! Don't let it traumatize you! No matter what they did, you must tell
us! We’re your best friends, and we’ll help you keep it a secret!
Lily was at a loss for words but replied, "Why does it sound like you two wanted something to happen
to me?”
"How is that possible!"
"Don't talk nonsense!"
It was the first time the duo was so united. Olivia and Jenny said, " Of course, it's best if you're fine.
We're worried about you. By the way, you said the police caught the kidnappers? Did the mastermind
get caught? Why did they kidnap you?"
"The mastermind..." Lily thought of Frank, who the police arrested, and Melanie, who seemingly
disappeared from
Westwood soon after. She did not know what had happened after that. She only knew that the police
had arrested Frank and the three kidnappers. With the evidence from their crimes, their punishment
would not be light.
Before the trio could continue discussing the kidnapping, there was a commotion outside the office.
Jenny frowned, put down her glass, and walked over to open the door, "What are you guys doing? The
celebration is at night! You guys have to finish your work first! What’s all this about?”
"N-No,Ms. Gray..."

balloons arose, crowding them in piles. It all seemed so magical.
"Hey, where did these balloons come from?" Jenny found it bizarre. After all, she was at work, so she waved
her hand and said, "Okay, there's nothing to see here. It’s just a few balloons. Are the balloons going to pay
your salary? Hurry up and get back to work."
Several balloons started rising. Attached were long ribbons with big fonts saying, “I love you, Lily!”
Jenny immediately closed the door, turned to Lily, and said," Quick! Lookout the window!"
Since the trio was in Jenny’s office and Jenny had closed the blinds, they did not notice what was happening
outside. Jenny opened the blinds and saw the balloons floating upward outside. Most of the balloons had
ribbons attached to them with the words, "I love you, Lily.”
Lily was speechless as she wondered if this was a prank.
