Chapter 661
“You dare claim you didn’t make the candles?” Henry questioned confidently, knowing he had sufficient evidence. “This
lab testing report has exposed you. It says here that a poisonous substance was inside the candles. How can you still
try to lie your way out of it?”
“What a joke,” Lily laughed coldly, “Just because the candle contained a poisonous substance, it means I was the one
who did it? Not to mention whether there was what you claimed as poison in the candle. Why do you insist that I
poisoned it even if it does?”
Henry looked like he had expected Lily to say this. He continued, “I knew you wouldn’t admit it. Don’t worry. I have
enough proof to show that you were the one who made the candles. You’ve also admitted that you gave the candles to
Justin personally. Does that mean you’re accusing Justin if it wasn’t you?”
“Also!” Henry turned and signaled his subordinate to bring a box over. He took it and showed it to everyone in the
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtroom, “This box contains the unused candles in my father’s room. These candles contained a small dose of the poison.
Even though they don’t cause immediate death, continuous use will end with terrifying results.”
Lily expected this. No matter how often they experimented, the results would be the same. She knew
exactly where these candles came from.
“No, that won’t be necessary,” Lily raised her hand to stop the man from bringing the candles over. Lily
looked Henry in his eyes and remarked, “Whether they were poisonous or not had nothing to do with
me. I did not make these.”
“Are you still trying to deny it?” Henry laughed, “Just a while ago, you admitted that you made the
candles my father used, and now you’re trying to deny it. Why are you so set on embarrassing
yourself?”
“I admitted I gave Grandpa two boxes of candles but not the others. I’m sure you know exactly where
they came from,” Lily replied.
Henry felt a pang of panic wash over him as he noticed Lily’s unwavering attitude. She was not at all
nervous, even when faced with such accusations. It was as if everything was in her control, and she
was confident he could not do anything to her.
“Of course, I’m sure!” Henry struggled to hold back his nervousness and continued, “These were in my
father’s room. They remained unused, and they were responsible for his death! Lily, I’m allowing you to
account for your sins on my father’s behalf.
“How can you still deny it and the fact that you’re my niece? If you admit it’s just an impulsive mistake,
you will have to pay your dues according to the family rules. However, if you still refuse to admit it, all
that awaits you will be prison! ”
“Honestly, I’m not afraid. After all, we don’t know who will end up in prison instead,” Lily refuted and
glanced toward Jonathan, “ Granduncle, what about you?”
Jonathan kept his distance when the two were arguing about this issue. Since Lily had addressed him
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmdirectly, he had no choice but to speak up after clearing his throat, “We have enough evidence, and it
pains me that something like this had happened within the family. I know most of you here are unwilling
to believe that
something like this could happen.
“However, we need to give my late cousin and the others in the family an explanation. Lily, even though Wilfred was
strict with you, he still loved you dearly. Now that we have sufficient evidence, what more do you have to say?”
Lily nodded and asked, “So you’re also saying I did it?”
“I’m not saying you did it. It’s just that all of the facts suggest...”
“What do you mean by facts? What facts? All I can see are a bunch of fabricated evidence!” Lily took a few steps
forward and looked at the other family members. “It’s rather embarrassing to argue about this issue in front of
everyone, but I’m determined to find out the truth behind my grandfather’s death. Since Henry has shown his evidence
to everyone, it’s my turn to reveal mine as well.”
