Chapter 822
Damian felt as if he were falling into a bottomless abyss with nothing to hold on to, and even if he
managed to grasp something, it was nothing but a poisonous snake.
"Enough! What good would saying that do? We have to come up with a solution!"
Joseph also felt something was amiss but could not tell what it was.
"I'll come up with something, but first, I've got to visit your uncle. He must know the current difficulties
the Tanner Corporation is experiencing."
Joseph knew he had to seize the opportunity to tell Derrick about Benedict’s death.
If he could take over the Tanner Corporation, he wouldn't need to bother about the old-timers on the
board, and perhaps he could turn things around.

With that in mind, he knew he had to leave immediately.
"I've got to get going."
"Dad, let me come with you!"
He was getting restless at home and did not want to stay there.
"Please!"
"What for? You can’t be seen in public!"
He scolded.
"I can put on makeup and go in disguise! If I stay here any longer, I'll go insane.Besides, I’ve been with
the Tanner family for so long, but I’ve yet to be properly introduced to Uncle Derrick.I should go visit
him at least."
Joseph regarded him.
Damian had lost weight in just a few days and looked pitifully pallid.
"All right, but cover your face so no one will recognize you.Let’s go."
"But..."
Elizabeth wanted to say something, but Joseph stopped her with a wave of his hand.
"Stay here. You know how Derrick’s wife is."
Upset, Elizabeth pursed her lips. She wanted to go as well.
Having stayed in the house for too long and unable to go shopping, she was bored to death.
However, having met Derrick’s wife many years ago, she knew full well that she did not like her.
Although she was not in good health, the woman was lucky to marry the head of the family, who never
fooled around with other women and was devoted to her.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSince she was married to Derrick, she didn't treat Elizabeth well and thought of her as an outsider, but
she got along well with Eloise Neville.
After some thought, Elizabeth gave up the idea of going with them.
Putting on a disguise, Damian had his face covered and wore a turtleneck before leaving with Joseph.
After getting into the car in the underground garage, they headed straight for the hospital, where
Derrick was.
The hospital was unusually quiet and was a perfect place for healing.
Damian was initially concerned about reporters here, but he relaxed when he saw how tight the
security was.
However, as they moved toward Derrick’s ward, someone stopped them at the stairs, much to Joseph’s
surprise.
