Veikko furrowed his brows and gave her a cold glance. He said in a low voice, “I'll send you back if you cry again.”

The crying stopped abruptly. As if recalling something, Caridee suddenly became anxious.

“Did he touch me? Did he?” Veikko slowly stopped in his tracks. Looking at her delicate and tiny face through the

light of the streetlight above his head, he couldn't control his emotions for a moment. He gently leaned in and

kissed her lightly on her red lips.

“Nope. You're fine. Don't overthink it.”

Caridee felt her physical condition and found no pain torturing her. She then breathed a sigh of relief.

Veikko resumed walking and responded lightly, “Don't get too happy just yet. Bailey had just restored sensation to

your arm, but after the recent commotion, all her efforts have been in vain.”

Caridee was taken aback and tried to lift her right hand. Immediately, hints of intense pain came from the joints on

her right arm, and she gave up helplessly.
