Chapter 434
Larissa did not expect him to ask that so she was a little panicked. Avoiding his gaze, she tried to
dodge the question. “Well, I’m just asking, that’s all.”
Dylan was really affected by her strange reaction, He suddenly had a ridiculous thought. “You can’t
possibly not know who Aster’s dad is. right?!”
Seeing that he had hit the nail on the head, Larissa was so scared that she was at a loss. She quickly
dashed up to clap her hand over his mouth. “Don’t f ucking say sh it like that!”
“Mommy, Uncle Dylan, what are you doing? Aster’s sweet voice sounded from a distance not far away.
Jolting hard, Larissa turned to look.
Aster and Kevan were standing side by side at the foot of the stairs about six and a half feet away from

Larissa let go of Dylan at once. Smiling sheepishly, she explained. “Uncle Dylan said a bad word. I’m
criticizing him for that.”
Aster thought it was true-whenever Wendy accidentally said bad words at home. Larissa would cover
her mouth like that. He seriously scolded Dylan. “Uncle Dylan, good people cannot say bad words, you
know?”
Dylan nodded guilty. “Yeah. Uncle Dylan won’t do that anymore.”
Seeing that Aster had successfully fudged the whole thing over, Larissa immediately changed the
subject. “How come you both came down together?” she asked Kevan, who gazed at her with his
fathomless eyes, causing her to feel anxious for no reason.
“You never came up, so I was worried something had happened. I came down to see what was up.” His
demeanor was natural, and his lips were curved into a small smile. Even his voice had amusement
laced in it. “It’s good that you’re both okay.”
As they were now all downstairs together, they went to pay the bill
After sending Larissa and Aster home, only then did Kevan tum to settle things with Dylan with a dark
expression on his face. “What did you say to Larissa?”
Glancing at Kevan through the rearview mirror, Dylan thought for a few seconds before speaking.
“Larissa thinks I’m Aster’s dad.”
As expected. Kevan’s expression became more unpleasant. There was actually some rage in it.
“Why?”
“You have the audacity to ask? Dylan sputtered out a pi ssed-off laugh in disbelief. Whenever he
thought of the “wonderful thing Kevan did, he was too embarrassed to say anything condemning. “Why

Giving it a moment’s thought, Kevan knew at once.
As Larissa thought he was in a coma, she would naturally not suspect him. The only person left to
suspect was Dylan, Even though he knew that he could not blame Dylan, Kevan still felt uncontrollably
jealous-as if his wife and child had been stolen away by Dylan.
“How did you respond?” he asked calmly, having forced his anger down.
“I said that it wasn’t me, of course! Like hell would Dylan take the blame for Kevan-Kevan would never
let him take the blame either anyway.
“Then why did she cover your mouth?” This was what bothered Kevan the most. When he saw that
scene, he nearly broke his cover and rushed over to break them apart
“Because she knows that I know that she doesn’t know who Aster’s dad is.”
The sentence was kind of awkward. It took a few seconds for Kevan to understand what it meant.
Dylan parked the car in the underground garage. He had just gotten into the elevator when he received
a WhatsApp chal request from Larissa.
