Chapter 882
Larissa picked up the bottles one by one and held them in her arms.
“Do you want some?” she asked, looking up at Kevan.
Kevan took all the bottles from her arms and left her only
arly with
a case of beer.
“You can have this,” he said.
“Hey!” Larissa was already in a bad mood. Now that Kevan had ruined her plans of getting drunk, she felt even
more irritated.
She reached out to snatch the whiskey back from him, Kevan dodged and kept her at arm’s length by flicking her
forehead.
“Listen to me, or I’ll take away the beer too.” Kevan said stemiy
Larissa hid the cans of beer behind her and glared at Kevan. Staring at the whiskey in his arms, she gritted her
teeth. “Fine.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLarissa sat on the ground with her back against the sola. She had a can of beer in one hand and a freshly grilled
drumstick that Kevan had
made in the other.
“I feel so miserable.”
She took a bite of the drumstick smearing oil on her lips.
Frowning, Kevan leaned over and wiped the oil from her mouth.
“Why is that?
He waited patiently for her to continue
“Edmund is a despicable scumbag!” Larissa raised her voice.
“Yes” Kevan nodded in agreement.
“Wendy, she
Despite her burning anger, Larissa couldn’t bear Ic criticize Wendy out loud.
“Whatever, she’s just blind and naive!”
She tied her head back and chugged the remaining beer in one go.
Larissa chucked the empty beer can aside.
Kevan opened another can of beer and put it in her hand.
He didn’t know what had happened, but he could guess from her behavior.
She and Wendy must have had a huge light because of Edmund.
As a man, Kevan was usually blunt and straightforward.
He didn’t know how to handle the intricacies of friendship between women.
Still he knew the most important rule, which was to not interfere.
The principle of not interfering in conflicts could be applied to couples in relationships as well.
Once they made up, you would be seen as an inciter.
Kevan did not ack about the details nor interfered in their conflict.
If Larissa wanted to drink, he provided her with alcohol.
If she was hungry, he made food for her.
If she was tired. he would go and warm the bed for her.
Suddenly, Larissa turned to Kevan and glared at him.
Kevan was surprised. “What?”
“It’s all your fault!” After Larissa had drunk three cans al beer, she started feeling a littlepsy.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmShe ranted in a drunken tirade. “You already beat Edmund up. Why couldn’t you be more ruthless and beat him to
death?”
Momentarily stunned, Kevan almost choked when he heard her words. “Ms. Seymour, need I remind you that
murder is a crime? Even little
kids know that”
He lowered his head to meet her gaze. Raising an eye brow, he continued. “Or are you planning to take this
opportunity and threw me in jail?”
Larissa gave him a slap on the cheek and pushed him away.
She didn’t put in much force. It was only a light tap as she wasn’t really trying to hurt him,
Muttering angrily, Larissa said, “What the hell are you saying? I just thought that Edmund was a scumbag. It would
be better if he were dead! At least he wouldn’t harm others!”
Kevan wiped away the traces of oil on his cheek. It was from the drumstick that Larissa was holding.
It took great effort for Kevan to stop himself from arguing with a drunken person.
“Fine. When he goes into prison, I’ll find someone to deal with him.” Kevan tried to appease her in a pleasant
manner.
When Larissa wasn’t paying attention, he sublly increased the distance between them.
