Chapter 121
The room went dead silent.
The men who had been drinking and playing poker all stopped, their eyes all on Eloise.
Joan sat next to Harvey, acting like a hostess.
Eloise was in a tough spot. She was here at this party, but no one had invited her. She was here to expose
Harvey's actions, but she had no ties with Harvey.
Gunner, who had a quarrel with her last time, was the first to mock Eloise in a sarcastic tone. "Eloise, what brings
you here? Wanna join?"
Eloise turned her gaze toward Harvey.
Harvey was dressed casually today. He was wearing a black shirt and black pants, lounging on the sofa, and
smoking leisurely.
This laid-back attitude was something Eloise had never seen before.
Harvey glanced at Eloise, seemingly a bit annoyed, but didn't pay any attention to her.
Joan suddenly leaned over and pecked Gunner, then said half-jokingly. "Gunner, don't tease Ms. Laurent. She
might not be able to handle it."
Eloise clenched her fists.
Again, someone said she couldn't handle it! Joan and Harvey were two peas in a pod!
Harvey's gaze was deep. He stared at Eloise and was silent for a long tbefore he finally spoke. "Eloise, go
home."
His words left Eloise with no dignity, as if she were someone who didn't know the ropes but had no power to take
men away.
Gunner chuckled coldly.
That felt good.
Then someone spoke up. "Alright, let's not push Eloise. Let's get back to the game."
The scene started to heat up again.
But just then, a voice gently said, "I can handle it!"
The voice was very soft and was almost drowned out by the noise.
But Harvey still heard it; it was Eloise who said it.
His gaze tightened, and his tone was even more severe than before. "Eloise, go home!"
No one dared speak; everyone could tell Harvey was not happy.
Perhaps because Eloise didn't give him any respect.

In the silence, Landon chuckled and said, "Eloise said she can take it, so let's let her join us!"
He pulled Eloise to sit next to him and poured her a glass of red wine.
"Lose the game, drink the wine. If you win, you can make a request to anyone. No restrictions."
Harvey said lowly, "Landon!"
Landon laughed happily. "Harvey, are you afraid to play? Joan has kissed you so many times, so how cwhen
it's Eloise's turn, you chicken out?"
Harvey glanced at Eloise.
He put out his cigarette and, surprisingly, joined the game. "Bring it on!"
The gwas simple: a card comparison.
Gunner won the first round; he had a beef with Eloise, but with Harvey's ambiguous attitude, he didn't dare take
a risk. So he chose to have a passionate kiss with Joan.
The passion was palpable, making everyone's heart race.
After the kiss, Joan giggled and said to Harvey. "If | win, | want to kiss you!"
Harvey ignored her.
Eloise had the smallest hand; she drank half a glass of red wine.
This glass of wine made her eyes even more charming.
Landon, sitting next to her, couldn't possibly be completely indifferent; his gaze on
Eloise was clearly full of affection.
Everyone in the room could feel it, even if they didn't look.
Just then, Landon won the next round.
The room was silent.
Ah, the was about to start.
Harvey dropped his hand of cards, his gaze deep as he watched Eloise.
Before Eloise could react, Landon slowly leaned towards her, his hands gently propped on either side of her
head.
His straight nose lightly brushed Eloise's.
Eloise looked up at him helplessly.
Her long eyelashes dropped gently, and the tips of her ears were pink. She looked cute and enticing.
Landon's gaze dimmed.
Max in the corner flicked ash from his cigarette. He thought gloomily that if he were Landon, even if Harvey
broke his legs, he would still kiss Eloise deeply.
Four years of feelings, and he hadn't tasted her yet.
Everyone thought Landon wouldn't resist kissing Eloise; it was only Eloise who knew that Landon wouldn't. His
eyes showed that he truly cherished her.
Landon's throat bobbed; he really wanted to kiss her.
But he didn't; he leaned into Eloise's ear and whispered. "I want to hear you callhubby."
Silence filled the room.
No one dared speak because Harvey looked very displeased.
A kiss would have been fine; it was light and harmless. But asking Eloise to call
him hubby was crossing the line. How was Harvey supposed to sleep with Eloise in the future?
Gunner coughed lightly. "Landon, you're crossing the line."
He blinked.
Landon lifted his eyes to meet Harvey's, and a challenging smile appeared on his face. "Harvey should be able to
handle it."
Harvey didn't say a word.
He lit a cigarette, slowly blowing out a ring of smoke.
Joan laughed.
Eloise probably wanted Harvey to care, but she was barking up the wrong tree. These games meant nothing in
this circle, so there was no need to take them seriously. Calling someone hubby was the easiest request ever.
Harvey wouldn't care at all.
In the end, the only one embarrassed would be Eloise.
Then Landon lowered his head again, his body almost touching Eloise's but not
quite.
His gaze and voice were gentle. "Eloise, callhubby."
Eloise had swine, so she was bold.
She looked into Landon's eyes, unwavering, as if her whole world only had Landon, as if she and Landon were
deeply in love.
Eloise's red lips parted, and her voice was husky and sexy. "Landon..."
She hadn't finished her sentence when suddenly her hand was grabbed and pulled up, and then she was forced
to fall into a warm embrace.
Harvey walked towards the door with Eloise.
He threw out a sentence. "Put it on my tab tonight."
The room went silent, and Landon adjusted his clothes.

He turned to the others, shrugged, and said with a smirk. "I told you Harvey couldn't handle it! Now that Eloise is
gone, why don't you call'hubby,' Joan?"
Joan turned pale.
She had not expected that Harvey would be so hung up on Eloise.
Wasn't he madly in love with her? He could even stand watching her kiss someone else, but he couldn't bear
Eloise calling someone else 'hubby'?!
Harvey took Eloise out.
The night breeze blew away her drunkenness.
She tried to shake off his hand, but Harvey held on tightly. He took her to the
parking lot and put her in his golden Bentley.
Harvey got in the car, but he didn't start it right away.
He gripped the steering wheel, his gaze fixed straight ahead.
"Did Orlena bring you here?"
Eloise was already in a sour mood. She turned her face away, ignoring him.
Harvey turned to look at her, studying her profile. He wasn't sure if it was his imagination, but he thought Eloise
was getting more and more beautiful every the saw her.
He stared at her, then stepped on the gas.
Eloise thought he would take her back to the apartment, but the car stopped in front of the nearest five-star
hotel after turning two blocks.
"Get out!"
He unbuckled his seat belt and got out, then walked to her car door.
Eloise knew what he was about to do next. But she didn't want to. She really
didn't!
