Chapter 186 Max shook his head, his eyes moist with tears. The unexpected was about to happen, and he wasn't thrilled about it.

"No, Mom. You can't leavelike this. You are my best friend." The frail woman blinked, tears falling from the corners of her eyes.

"I love you, Max," she sobbed. "You've madehappy, but please make peace with your brother and dad." She knew that Max was upset with them, but until he met his mate, he would not be able to handle it if he refused to make amends with his brother and father.
