Brittany hadn’t expected Joseph to indulge Natalie to such an extent.
Nathan gritted his teeth, struggling for a moment before saying, “I’ll handle this.”
Brittany glanced at Kari, who was fast asleep. She wasn’t about to let this go.
Overnight, she had people look into the matter, planning to teach Natalie a lesson during the final competition the
next day.
Dawn broke.
When Kari woke up, Nathan was leaning against the wall with his eyes tightly shut.
He was clad in his pajamas. He probably rushed over in the middle of the night. He looked crumpled and
particularly haggard.
Kari stirred, and Nathan, hearing the sound, opened his eyes. After seeing that she was awake, he quickly moved
towards her. “Awake?”
Kari’s eyes turned red. She instinctively wrapped her arms around his waist, and Nathan lifted her up.
“Don’t be scared; I’m here.”

Brittany, standing outside the door, heard her crying and felt a wave of sympathy wash over her.
When Kari had cried enough and calmed down, Brittany pushed open the door. “The finals are about to start. Are
you ready?”
Kari, pale-faced, looked up from Nathan’s arms. “I’m ready.”
She had worked so hard to reach this point in the competition, so she wasn’t about to give up now.
Brittany knew how stubborn Kari was. She walked to her bedside. “Good luck in the finals.”
Kari looked into her eyes and nodded seriously.
News of Kari’s ordeal had almost not been spread.
So, when she arrived at the competition venue, Natalie was momentarily surprised.
Kari, as always, was quiet and unobtrusive in the crowd. Yet this seemingly insignificant person was the dark horse
of the competition.
The competition officially began.
Brittany sat on the judges’ panel, watching as each contestant displayed their creations.
When it was Natalie’s turn, Brittany looked at her beautiful face. She was indeed lovely, or else she wouldn’t have
caught Joseph’s eye.
Unfortunately, she had done some truly despicable things.
Meanwhile, Nathan left the hospital and returned to the office.
Isaac had set up his own company.
Grandeur Capital had undergone a major reshuffle, with many people disliking Marcel Salter’s style.
So, they followed Isaac instead.
“You didn’t sleep well?”
Isaac looked at the fatigue on Nathan’s face and frowned. For the first time in many years, Nathan looked tired.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Salter. Something happened to Kari last night, and I…”
Isaac knew he was with Kari. “In that case, you should rest. Don’t come in for a few days.”
Nathan was more than happy to obey.
After Nathan left, Isaac turned on the live stream. On screen was the finals of the Crown Jewel Design Challenge.

Most of the audience were fans of the final contestants. Kari wore a mask, which hid her face but revealed her

The moment Aubrey announced the results, the venue went silent.
All the shouting instantly turned to hushed amazement.
Kari stood on the stage as Aubrey’s voice rang in her ears, followed by thunderous applause.
The camera focused on her. As the applause thundered, the venue was stormed by a group of police officers,
causing chaos.
The leading officer handcuffed Natalie. “Ms. Natalie, we received a report that you are suspected of inciting
kidnapping and intentional injury. Please come with us.”
There was a commotion in the audience.
Joseph immediately looked at Brittany as a blazing fury flashed in his eyes. “Brittany, did you do this?”
