Isaac.”
Just because we divorced doesn’t mean we can’t reconcile.” Brittany, having no fondness for Jole, sald coldly, “Ms.
Joie, my personal affairs are none of your business.”
Feeling unwelcome, Joie took her leave.
“I didn’t know she would show up.” Isaac quickly tried to explain, fearing Brittany might misunderstand.
“I know.” Brittany knew Isaac had no feelings for Joie. She poured him a cup of water, “After all, she did save
Granny. We should show some respect.”
Seeing Brittany’s consideration, Isaac’s affection for her deepened. “Granny said she wants you to visit the Salter
Manor this weekend.”
