Lucian ordered Shawn, who was outside the door, “Shawn, take Penelope home.” He looked at Penelope, “You’re tired too. It would be best if you rested well. You’re taking care of yourself and the child in your belly.”
Hearing Lucian say this, Penelope nodded.
“Alright, the baby and I will see you later.” She patted her belly, which was her most powerful bargaining chip.
Penelope and Shawn arrived in the hallway. When they passed Allison’s room, Penelope stopped. She glanced at Shawn, “Shawn, I want to check on
Allison. Wait for me here.”
Shawn was just an assistant and had no right to stop Penelope, so he nodded in agreement.

Allison was sitting in a chair reading. Hearing someone pushing the door open, she thought it was a nurse, so she didn’t look up.
She heard the sound of high heels on the floor and frowned slightly. Before she could look up, a pair of high heels had already entered her field of vision.
Allison already had a hunch about who was coming. She closed the book in her hand, “What do you want?”
“Allison” Penelope knew that Shawn was outside. She gritted her teeth and whispered, “What happened between you and Lucian in the forest?”
“What do you think should have happened between Lucian and me?” Allison looked at Penelope, her gaze falling on Penelope’s belly. This was her child with Lucian. She clenched her fists, “Penelope, I don’t welcome you in my room.”
“Allison, I’m warning you! I have your mother now. With one word from me, she can be kicked out of the hospital! Without the expensive anti–rejection drugs, Grace will die tomorrow!”
Allison’s eyes grew cold, “Penelope, that’s illegal!”
