He's impressed by your charisma and is certain of your professional capabilities. It's quite an achievement for someone your age to be a project director.” “Hayden is too generous. I'm honored.” Dorothy laughed and raised her glass. “A toast to you, Hayden.” Hayden was only too happy to accept, and she nodded enthusiastically. “Cheers!” Emmett, watching the scene, was sure that Dorothy would not be sober by the end of the night. He quietly texted Natalia, asking her to arrange a car to wait outside the restaurant, ready to take Dorothy back to the hotel.
“We had a brief discussion about the collaboration details with Ms. Sanchez earlier today, and we've seen East Star Enterprises" sincerity.” Gabriel steered the conversation back to work.
Dorothy understood his subtle dissatisfaction with the terms offered by East Star Enterprises, but she had to pretend otherwise as the negotiation was still ongoing. “Indeed, you've seen it. My original business trip was in Everglow City, but our boss specifically sent me to Havenbrook City. He wanted to avoid any miscommunication that could potentially upset everyone.” Hayden nodded emphatically and refilled Dorothy’s empty wine glass.
After seeing this, Gabriel laughed. “Ms. Sanchez, you should try this wine. Hayden brought it especially for you. He wouldn't share this with just anyone.” “Oh? Well, | must give it a try then.” Truthfully, Dorothy couldn't tell the difference between good and bad wine. She simply closed her eyes and took a sip.
“You two shouldn't just sit there, have some too. Lets all enjoy it together.” Gabriel suddenly included Emmett and Natalia in the conversation.
If the two assistants declined, things would become quite awkward.
