Chapter 833

“So, don’t you care about the memory that you can’t remember?”

At his words, she fell silent instantly. She knew he was referring to the memories of her leaving the Youngblood

family and falling into the sea.

Although she had not actually remembered them, she had a rough idea based on Carlos’ words. However, Jonathan

was unaware of that.

His eyes were fixed on her as if he were observing her reaction.

She took a deep breath and said to him, “For me, the most important thing is the present. I am willing to remember

the past with you if it is a lovely memory. If it is a painful memory, I would rather forget it.”

“Is that so?” he murmured.

“Yes,” she replied. In fact, she would prefer not to recall those traumatic memories. Perhaps if she did not

remember them, she would not have to endure the agony she had felt then.

After a pause, Rosalie raised her hand and gently touched Jonathan’s face. “Jon, if you truly want to recover your

memories, just let nature take its course. Do not put your well-being or health at risk for it. For me, the most

important thing is that you live well.”

Suddenly, Jonathan felt a sharp pain in his head.

He could not breathe when he heard the phrase “live well” from her, it was like a thousand boulders were slamming

down on his heart./

“How can I live well if you are not with me?” The sentence slipped out of his mouth subconsciously.

When he said that, even he himself was taken aback.

“Why did I say such a thing? Furthermore, I felt as though I had already said those words countless times. Have I

ever said this before? Was it following her fall into the water?” he mused, and suddenly his head throbbed even

more.

The next thing he knew, his face had turned even paler, and large beads of sweat had formed on his forehead.

Groans of agony escaped his lips. As soon as Rosalie saw that, she exclaimed, “I’ll go get your medicine. Take your

medicine first, and then we’ll talk.” She was about to turn and get the medicine when his arms tightened around

her.

“Jon, please let me go. I need to get your medicine, or your headache will

get worse,” she urged.

“Please don’t go. I don’t want you to leave me.” He felt like a drowning person at the time, desperately clinging to

the only piece of driftwood he could find.

“I’m just going to get the medicine,” she explained.

However, he seemed not to have heard her and pushed her onto the bed, continuously kissing her, bringing their

bodies closer as if that was the only way he could truly feel her presence.

He could not understand why she still left him despite having forgiven.

him.

“Is there a reason behind it? Have I done anything to irritate her later on? Or maybe she had grown to despise me

to the point where she lied to me and said she had forgiven me?” he pondered.

Perhaps she was only willing to stay by his side because her memories had not fully returned.

If her memories returned one day, he was not sure if she would still stay by his side.

His mind was racing with worries and doubts, but there were no answers at the moment.

“Rosie, I will not feel any pain as long as you are by my side,” he said. quietly, deepening his kiss as if he wanted to

devour her.

“Callum, if you do not let me go, my parents will report you for kidnapping, and you will not be able to get away

with it!” When Madeline. finally saw Callum in front of her a few days later, she blurted out.

After being imprisoned there for a few days, apart from looking out of the window at the scenery, she had nothing

else to do. All

communication devices and network-related equipment had been taken away. She was on the brink of going crazy

and had no idea what was happening in the outside world.

“You don’t have to worry about that. Your parents should be busy dealing with the mess in the Tall family right now.

They most likely do not have the time to care about you. I have told them you have been staying at my mansion

these last few days,” Callum replied nonchalantly as he sat on the couch.

Madeline’s expression darkened. “What happened to the Tall family?”

Callum signaled his subordinate, who then picked up a remote control

and turned on the TV screen in the living room. A series of news clips regarding the Tall family from the past few

days began to play on the

screen.

The more Madeline watched, the worse her complexion became. By the end, her face had turned pale, and her

body was trembling faintly.

The Tall family was on the verge of collapse in just a few days.

“Callum, you certainly have some clever tricks up your sleeve!” Madeline turned her resentful gaze toward the man

in front of her. Callum had clearly done a lot of planning ahead of time because he had turned the Tall family into

such a shambles in such a short period of time.

She was wondering when he started planning all of that.

In fact, she had actually been completely unaware of the situation and believed he was under her control.

“If my methods are not somewhat aggressive in dealing with the Tall family, the one left with nothing would

probably be me,” Callum said indifferently.

After hearing that, Madeline pursed her lips. Shortly after, she gritted her teeth and said, “Did you come here just to

make me watch the news

about the Tall family?”

“Now that you have seen the news, you must be aware that the Tall family’s immediate danger is the impending

financial breakdown, right? You should know the potential ramifications of a financial chain failure. I am pretty

certain that the Tall family will go bankrupt within a year. You will most likely be unable to live a normal life at that

point due to a massive amount of debt.”

Of course, Madeline knew Callum was not exaggerating, and even if the situation was not as bad as he described,

he could still bring the Tall family to that point if he wanted to.

After all, the Tall family was the mastermind behind the incident five years ago.

She thought he was just an illegitimate child who could be easily controlled. At that moment, Madeline deeply

regretted her decision from years ago.

He was not someone who was easily controlled. Instead, he was a vengeful person.

“If the Tall family’s financial chain breaks, you can just take over these

assets, Callum, huh?” Madeline taunted.

By then, the Tall family and the White family would truly be worlds apart.

“Yes. However, I can also lend the Tall family funds to give you a way out,” Callum suggested.
