Chapter 1921 For Her Sake

At the mention of that name, Lumi took a deep breath and looked away.

“Don’t tell anyone about what you heard just now about Kirsi’s life.”

Julie said, “You’re still thinking of her at this time? She’s the one who started the whole thing. If it were another

woman, would you still be so angry?”

She expressed her confusion.

Lumi was slightly stunned.

She glanced at Julie and opened her mouth to say something, but in the end, she did not say it.

“I know that she doesn’t like the Makinen family. My mom and dad aren’t nice to her either, so I desperately tried to

be nice to her to make up for it. But after such a mess, I really don’t know if all those years meant nothing to her.”

Nicole said, “What do you think? Even if your parents treat her badly, she shouldn’t direct her hate to you. After all,

it has nothing to do with you.”

Julie nodded.

The corners of Lumi’s mouth twitched. She picked up a cup and took a sip of water. “Forget it. Besides getting a

divorce, I can’t think of another way. I feel sick just thinking about living with him.” Nicole admired Lumi for knowing

what she

wanted. At that time, Nicole’s phone rang. It was a call from Clayton. Nicole picked it up. “Hello?”

“You're not done yet? I’m at the door...” Clayton’s voice came through. Nicole stood up and said, “Okay, Ill leave in

a minute.” Lumi looked at Nicole with dissatisfaction.

“You're not allowed to leave! You have to accompany me to drink all night.”

Nicole was shocked to the point that her heart trembled. “Ms. Makinen, I still have to go back to see my baby. I’m

no longer at the age where I can pull all- nighters. Since you already know what to do, there’s nothing to feel torn

about. I support you!” Julie also followed Nicole and stood up. “That’s right. I also support you!” “You guys are no

fun!”Lumi pursed her lips.  Julie laughed and went over to hug Lumi. “Good luck!” Nicole and Julie left.

Clayton’s car was parked downstairs. When Clayton saw Nicole walking out and was a dozen meters away, he got

out of the car G?[ yM2YQ smiled with his arms wide open. Nicole quickly jumped over and hugged him. The gloomy

mood Nicole was in just now because of others was instantly swept away. Julie acted as if she did not see them. She

walked past them and waited in the car.

Clayton smiled and planted a kiss on top of Nicole’s head. Before Clayton could say something, he saw Lumi, who

sent Nicole and Julie out the door, rolling her eyes and turning away. Clayton clicked his tongue. “Your friend seems

tohave a problem with me, huh?” Why would she roll her eyes and walk away? Nicole thought of something and

laughed. “She’s going through a lot right now and has a problem with every mushy couple...” Clayton raised his

eyebrows and walked back with his arm around Nicole.

“Let’s go.” Nicole got into the car. When Clayton was about t o drive away, Julie suddenly shouted from behind.

“Isn't that Samuel?!”

Nicole looked out and saw Samuel driving past their car.

Clayton raised his eyebrows. “What’s wrong with Mr. Lindstrom?”

He did not know what happened earlier.

Nicole hurriedly told Clayton everything that happened today.

After she finished speaking, Clayton did not have any reaction. He just looked ahead without batting an eye.

“Oh.”

Nicole said, “Aren’t you surprised? It’s so dramatic!”

Clayton had one arm leaning against the car window while his other hand was on the steering

wheel. He looked casual and comfortable as he glanced at Nicole with smiling eyes.

“Yeah, it’s really dramatic.” He sounded so perfunctory.

Nicole sucked in a breath of cold air and looked away from him.

“I knew it. It’s never satisfying to share gossip with you!”

That was the difference between a best friend and a husband.
