Chapter 1859 Peter’s Message

Keith laughed as he said, “I have enough money to spend here and I occasionally work part-time to earn some

money. I can almost earn the living expenses on my own, so you don’t need to worry about me. You can just live a

good life by yourself. If you have money, save it for yourself.”

Now that he had said those words, Cindy felt a little better. No matter what, there was someone else in the family

thinking of her. After hesitating for a while, she also informed him about her job search. She added that there might

be no salary at the initial stage as she mainly wanted to garner experience and learn.

He was quite generous because he told her that if she ran out of money, she could tell him and he would transfer

the amount to her. He said it so confidently that Cindy laughed out loud.

She explained, “I don't need you to give me money yet. I can still support myself. When you're successful, just don't

forget me.”

After laughing, Keith then promised, “Don’t worry, if I really become successful, the first person to come to my

mind will be you.”

He could not prove it right now, but at least he had promised Cindy, which made her feel at ease. She didn’t tell him

how much money she had now, but merely said that if he didn’t have any money, he needed to tell her. Even if her

salary was not high, she still would have some income. She also revealed that she was now with Ian and Ian would

not watch her struggle.

Keith knew some things about Cindy and Ian, but not particularly in detail. However, Keith had his own ideas when

he suggested, “If you run out of money, tell me. You and that man are not married yet, so don't ask him for money

or you will be looked down upon.”

Cindy was very relieved that Keith was willing to help her. “Okay, I know. I got it.”

The two didn't talk much before he hung up the phone as he needed to be off. She was frustrated after calling

Hazel earlier, but now she felt much more comfortable and wandered outside for a while before returning home.

As she emerged from the elevator, Cindy was unlocking the door when her phone vibrated. She originally thought it

was Keith who had something else to tell her, but when she pulled out her phone, she saw that it was Peter who

sent her a text, not Keith.

His action had surprised Cindy a lot. She and Peter were indeed friends on social media, but to be honest, after the

two were no longer living in the same vicinity, she thought that they would never be in touch again. This person

would just be a name on her list of friends from now onward.

Yet, Peter had texted her on social media, mainly to ask how she was doing recently and how those things around

her were being handled. Cindy was a little taken aback. Although it was only expressed in words, she felt that this

message from him was a little different from his usual way of writing. As such, she didn't reply at once but opened

the door to enter the house instead.

As Ian hadn’t woken up yet, Cindy guessed that he was probably in deep sleep. She then threw the phone on the

couch, went to the kitchen and poured a glass of water. After she finished drinking the water, her phone vibrated

again, which resulted in her heading over to the couch to pick it up for a look.

It was Peter who sent her a message again.

Maybe he had sent another text because she didn’t reply to his previous one. This time, he said that he missed her

a lot, and also claimed that he had a dream about her last night.

Seeing this, Cindy frowned deeply because she felt that he wouldn’t say such a thing. At the end, both of them had

already made things clear to each other, so he wouldn’t tell her something so amorous as that. Hence, she

tentatively returned a message: ‘Who are you?’

There was no response over there for a while, so she was even more certain that the person over there was not

Peter. However, who could have used Peter’s phone to locate her and send such a message to her? All she could

think of was that one person. How naïve of her. I’ve left, and she still tries to test me like this.
