Right then, Ian reached out to catch her before he staggered backward, and the two of them fell toward the couch.
At this moment, Cindy pushed Ian onto the couch before she sat on him and choked him. “Why do you go around
biting people like that? Are you a dog?”

Upon hearing that, Cindy tightened her grip before a menacing expression appeared on her face. “I’ll choke you to
death before I go after someone else.”
Although Ian’s face turned red, he showed no signs of backing off as he raised his head a little so that Cindy could
continue choking him.

Knowing that Cindy was still bothered by Yulia, he chuckled. “Why would I want her? Do I even need her?”
Ian’s tone wasn’t nice when he mentioned Yulia. “I can still work toward my goal without her. You can only see the
good of being together with her, but you can’t see how much of a hassle it’s going to be if I get together with her.”
Refusing to back off as well, Cindy harrumphed. “That’s what you say, but who knows what you’re thinking?”
Upon hearing that, Ian pushed himself against her. “Don’t you know what I’m thinking about?”

come from his phone, so he headed toward the bedroom and saw Cindy’s phone on the bed.
He took the phone over to notice that it was a call from Gary.

Ian believed that Gary knew Cindy’s job search. When he accompanied Cindy to get interviewed, he could tell that
the girl who interviewed Cindy wasn’t enthusiastic about hiring her at all.
However, Cindy told him the girl’s attitude took a drastic change the next day, and she offered to hire Cindy after a
while.
Back then, Ian couldn’t comprehend what had happened. However, the only thing that he could recall was Gary
mentioning that he knew the owner of Paramount Group during their meal together.
As Gary was really nice toward Cindy, Ian figured that it could be possible for him to help Cindy out secretly.
Despite that, it seemed like Gary didn’t want to take the credit for it, so Ian didn’t go into details about Cindy’s job,
and the two of them exchanged pleasantries after that.
