Chapter 1966 Careless Talk

Cartoons are really too abstract…

Cindy took the doll and looked at it, then took out her phone and snapped a few photos. However, she sent the

photos to Ian. “Post it on Facebook.”

Ian understood what Cindy meant. He typed out a caption and posted the photos right away. The caption was along

the lines of thanking his fans and saying how much he liked the doll. This action would more or less make him more

likable.

After posting the photos, Ian tugged at Cindy’s hand and led her to sit on his lap. He planted a few kisses behind her

ear as he asked, “Let’s go out for a walk later?”

Cindy raised an eyebrow. “Would that really be alright?”

In truth, a stroll around the area shouldn’t raise too much suspicion. There were a few crews here, so naturally,

there were a lot of celebrities around as well. People might stare at him in other places, but here, he should be

reasonably safe. Maybe the people around here won’t react much, even if he was seen.

Cindy thought about the notion and had to agree. When she was walking around the crews today, she did see a lot

of celebrities herself.

Some celebrities were chatting with the extras during breaks, and the extras were behaving normally as well. They

didn’t fawn over the celebrities at all.

Cindy nodded. “All right, let’s eat out tonight.”

Ian went for a shower first and changed his clothes, after which the two left the hotel. Even though Ian wasn’t too

worried about getting recognized, he still wore a hat.

The two didn’t hail a cab after getting out of the hotel, and they just strolled along the roadside instead. It was

getting late in the day, and the street food vendors were in business, so things were quite lively by the road.

Cindy didn’t feel like having a proper meal in a restaurant. After walking for a while, Cindy pointed at a food truck. “I

feel like the food here will be delicious.”

Street food was known for its tantalizing smells that wafted in the air. Ian used to frequent such food truck, but ever

since he had gained some popularity, he couldn’t spend much time idling outside, so he stopped.

Now Cindy was tugging at his hand and pointing at the food truck with a pleading look. Ian didn’t even think twice

before nodding. “Sure, let’s go.”

There were quite a number of people surrounding the food truck. Ian and Cindy managed to find a table for two

and sat down.

There was a table with about four or five people beside theirs, eating merrily away. Cindy had her back to them, so

she didn’t mind them much at first, but she soon heard their voices talking clearly.

Those people were talking about Yulia. They were not extras, and it was clear from their conversation that they

were some crew members. Cindy frowned, then raised her gaze to look at Ian.

Ian was expressionless. After ordering the food, he stood up and fetched two bottles of drinks. He only spoke when

he placed the drinks on the table. “One of them is an executive director. I think they know Yulia.”

Cindy nodded then. Yulia does know a lot of people, and it’s like I can hear mentions of her everywhere I go.

The people didn’t notice Ian, and they talked loudly as they ate.

The executive director piped up after a while, “It’s her personality that’s her problem, you know. She’s talented,

yes, but her personality just isn’t the best. She can get really stubborn at times.”

Cindy herself had experienced that stubbornness firsthand. Yulia had persistently appeared in front of Ian before

and had tried everything she could to get closer to him.

Well, what she did to Ian wasn’t stubborn. It was straight-out offensive!

The others didn’t seem to know Yulia much, so they asked some questions out of curiosity. They said there were

rumors that Yulia and Ian had an unusual relationship and wanted to know if it was true.

The executive director took a swig of his alcohol, then grinned. “All men would fall for pretty women, and it’s true

for both genders.”

Cindy bit her lip in exasperation.

She thought these directors would be more open-minded with all their filmmaking and whatnot. In the end, they

betrayed her expectations as they chattered on and gossiped away.

The people mentioned Ian a few times, but none of them looked this way. Perhaps they had too much to drink, and

they weren’t aware of their surroundings.
