Chapter 1985 Chat

Aurora didn't know that Yulia was the one who helped her out. She thought it was thanks to Ian and his connections,

so she said, "It's all thanks to you though. The production team talked about you, and they said you have a bright

future."

Ian bit down on a piece of meat, and he smiled. "Is that so?"

Aurora nodded. "It's probably thanks to your popularity."

Ian changed the topic and asked Aurora when she would go to the set. Aurora said she already had the script, and

she was figuring out the character at home. The company didn't call, so she had to wait for Hannah to tell her when

exactly she would start filming. Some arrangements had been made regarding the shoot, but if she needed the

details, she would have to wait until Hannah came over.

"I see," Ian said curtly.

Aurora didn't think more about all the politics in the industry, so she had a happy dinner, and she even asked Ian

about his work. Ian only picked the aspects he could talk about easily, and the chat went well.

Cindy was halfway through her food, and when she was done eating, she put her cutlery down and leaned back to

wait for the others to finish.

Ian looked at her and wiped the corner of her mouth clean. "So, how's work? Did anyone try to bully you?"

Cindy paused for a moment. "No. I got in through connections, so they're scared of me."

Aurora looked at her. "Oh, really? Is it because of Ian again?"

"Of course." Cindy smiled. "Ian's the best."

Ian had a feeling that Cindy was mocking him. He wasn't the one responsible for Aurora and Cindy getting their

jobs, but now that Cindy brought it up, he guessed that she was mocking him. When Aurora looked away, he shot

her a menacing glare.

Cindy smirked at him.

Ian would not take that provocation lying down, and he was imagining how he would spank her later.

After they were done with dinner, Aurora talked to Ian again, but this time, she talked about the Morgans.

Ian was reminded of something, and he said, "Sean called me a while ago. He said Leah went to see him and

demanded that he give her the residence or the money he got from selling it. Sean dismissed her and told his men

to chase her out. She then went home and jumped off a building." Ian smiled. "Sean said that Leah called him

before she jumped. She said she'd make sure everyone knew about this matter and make life hard for him."

Aurora shook her head. "Why is she still not giving up? She's so determined."

Well, humans desire wealth. A lot of people can risk their own lives for money. Ian wasn't surprised Leah did that.

She had been taking all she could when she was with Bryce. Bryce knew what she was doing, but he turned a blind

eye to it. Thanks to that, Leah got ahead of herself and thought Sean would let her do anything she wanted like

Bryce did, but she was horribly wrong about that.

Sean had tolerated her for years. When Leah threatened him, he told her that he wished she would jump off from a

taller building and do a backflip, and that he would only feel relieved once she died. Obviously, Sean's disgust for

her had tipped over.

It wasn't too long later that night fell, and Aurora got up a while later. She wanted to go home.

Cindy and Ian sent her off, and Aurora chuckled. "You don't have to, really. We're in the same neighborhood. At this

rate, you might as well walk me back to my home."
