Chapter 183 While Nancy was talking, Judson suddenly turned his head and caught Cyrus swinging a whiskey bottle right at him.

In almost a blink, the bottle was about to crash onto Judson's head.

Cyrus barely had tto react before the punch sent him stumbling backward, his body finally coming to a stop with a thud against a chair.

"Judson!" Nancy exclaimed, her eyes wide with worry as she noticed the blood trickling down Judson's right arm. She immediately took his hand, gently but urgently.

"Nancy, I'm fine, it doesn't hurt," Judson reassured her, his large hand enveloping hers.

Cyrus watched as Nancy gazed at Judson, her eyes filled with a kind of concern she had never shown hím. As he lay on the ground from Judson's blow, he realized Nancy didn't even spare him a glance. Enraged, Cyrus demanded, "Nancy, I'm your husband! How can you care about another man?" Nancy's face darkened at his words, the warmth in her eyes replaced by cold disdain.

"I don't consider you a husband. You makesick!" Cyrus was stunned, disbelief etched across his face as he stared at Nancy. "W-what did you say...?" "I said you makesick!" Nancy snapped, recalling how Cyrus had tried to force himself on her earlier, her heart filled with revulsion.

"Cyrus, how could I have been so blind to marry a man like you?" Cyrus' face turned pale, her words hitting him like ice water. He felt as if he were sinking into a frozen abyss. "Nancy, do you regret marrying me?" No, she couldn't mean it! They were supposed to be in love.

Nancy laughed, but there was no warmth in her eyes. "If I'd known the kind of person you really were, I never would've married you." Cyrus was left speechless.

"Judson, let's get you to a hospital," Nancy said, unwilling to waste another word on Cyrus.

Because he wasn't worth it.

Judson still simmered with anger, wanting to give Cyrus another beating, but hearing Nancy's words and seeing Cyrus' dazed expression was more satisfying.

Judson felt a rush of vindication, far more rewarding than any punch he could throw.

He wrapped his arm around Nancy's shoulder, towering over Cyrus who sat on the ground like a defeated man.

"Cyrus, did you hear what Nancy said? If you keep bothering her, don't be surprised when I'm not so nice next time." With that, he clasped Nancy's hand and walked out.

Left behind, Cyrus remained in a daze, Nancy's words echoing in his mind. She regretted marrying him? And the way she looked at him, devoid of any affection...

Cyrus was panicking, especially as he watched Nancy leave with another man. He scrambled to his feet, En "Nancy, you can't just walk out-"

But before he could finish his plea, a sharp pain exploded in his head, and warm blood trickled down his forehead as everything went black, and he crumpled forward. Caleb, limping into the room, saw the scene unfold and shouted in panic, "Mr. Gordon!" Cyrus lay on the ground, his eyes unfocused, staring blankly at the door. Just before he lost consciousness, he had one desperate thought: Nancy, please don't go...

The hospital.
