| raised my eyebrow. "How did you know that he cares about me?" "You can see it from the eyes of a man when
he looks a t the woman he loves. He can't lie about his feelings. I'm a man myself, so | can tell.”
| sneered but did not say anything else.
Theo's feelings forwere actually really complicated. Maybe he likeda little, but more of it was duty,
remorse, and pity. When talking about pure love, | did not think he felt that way for me.
