Gareth frowned harder. Misery was written all over his face. He glared at Vincent coldly to let him know
that he did not want to listen to all these.
But Vincent did not care how Gareth thought. He spoke gently, "Perhaps you've loved her since a long
time ago. But you thought she and her father forced you into marriage, so you hated them.
But you didn't know that..."
Vincent deliberately stopped here. Gareth glared at him coldly.
"Enough?"
There was a surveillance camera here. Gareth did not want Vincent to speak further. But Vincent

"Don't put down your chopsticks. Eat up. If not, I shall continue."
Gareth put on a sullen face and kept quiet.
But he did not put down his chopsticks and continued eating.
Time flew. Vincent and Gareth had been waiting downstairs for Elisa and Rachel for two hours as they
rested upstairs.
Vincent and Gareth's presence made the air feel tense. But they did not intend to leave.
Vincent looked at Gareth. "I'm tired of convincing you. Did you even listen to what I said?"
Gareth stared at him coldly, "What do you think I was doing just now when I was eating?"
Vincent breathed a sigh of relief. But he immediately realized that something was wrong the next
moment. He turned around and scolded Gareth. "Goodness! Did you only listen to me telling you to eat
and forget everything else I told you?"
Gareth kept quiet as if he was admitting it.
Vincent could feel his blood pressure rising. He glanced at Gareth helplessly. He raised a finger and
pointed at Gareth, but he could not find any words to scold him.
Heck! Whatever! It was a waste of saliva talking to him! He wouldn't listen!
How did he even get a friend like that? A fool!
Soon, it became quiet downstairs.

the bed. They were waiting for the two men to leave. They wondered when the 'Plague God' was going
to leave. After a moment of hesitation, she sent Elisa a text message.
Elisa called her phone.
Rachel picked up almost immediately. Before Rachel could speak, Elisa started, "These two men will
not leave anytime soon. You should sleep. Are you hungry? I can go make you some food if you want."
Rachel was shocked. "Are you kidding me? You are still wounded. I can make myself food if I want to
eat."
